Official Crysis Demo thread

Anyone know the default keys for the helicopter control? I can't get the thing to take off :)

W = gain altitude
S = lower altitude
A = Bank left
D = Bank right

Mouse pushed forwards (nose down) = increase speed
Mouse pulled back (nose up) = decrease speed

Hmm, I get 24FPS on the CPU test and 26FPS on the GPU test with those settings and I have a GTX KO! My E6600 is clocked at 3.4GHz, what's yours clocked at? Loads of people seem to be getting a better frame rate than me even worse graphics cards, I don't understand. What operating system are you running?

Windows XP, 3GHz e6600, 169.04 drivers (US English:mad:) PCI-E bus is up to 125MHz though from 100.

How do you do the CPU and GPU test for this game? I couldn't see any option for it...

well after all the hype all i can say is what a massive disappointment.

i wasn't gonna download the demo but i'm glad i did now cus its just saved me £30, which i'll spend on gears of war instead.

Dogboy73: I wondered that myself. Whenever I play the game those boats seem to rape me from every direction.

melbourne720: Ah, well I guess the fact that you're using XP accounts for some of the improved performance you're getting. The CPU and GPU benchmark tests should be in the Bin32 folder along with the Crysis.exe file. How come you're using a US version of the drivers? Also, has increasing the frequency of your motherboard's PCI-E bus improved performance much?

I needed the PCI-E bus to help me break 10k in 3d mark 06, its a good thing to up when your card is already overclocked.

CPU test, 24 fps. (thanks for the info Mansize_tissue)

Running GPU test now... 25 fps. It looks good but I want to play this (a) with some AA, it really needs it at 1680 x 1050 on a 22" Sammy; (b) with DX10 goodness and very high detail.

1. My current card won't do that, even if I bath it in Liqued N2
2. The 8800 GT probably won't do all that.
3. The new 8800 GTS is looking a bit too close to the GT to be a big step up.
which leaves the new GTX...?

Not unless the pci-e 16x is holding you back which seems unlikely. Still Ive had no harm setting mine to 131mhz, Im not sure if it causes problems with other boards. I have 650i nvidia chipset

Just ran crysis, havent a clue on fps but its easilly playable at 1680x1050 all high, pretty smooth tbh.

How do I open the comman for fps etc..?
