Great demo, taken the release day off work so I can play it .

Ran it at 1680x1050, high, no aa on xp pro (spec in sig) and it played quite well, laggy in some parts but better than i thought it would be. I remember my 6800ultra/Fx53 setup crying similarly when Far Cry was released, it wasn't until I had a 7800gtx SLI setup that it played properly at 1600x1200 with aa, so i don't feel upset/angry etc, I kind of expected it.

mine is running really smooth
but it sounds like your running high shadows etc? i think i got MED detail on everything

In a year's time the game will still look amazing and will be playable on current hardware. This adds longevity to the game, just like Far Cry. Do you think the developers will deliverately limit the game's potential so that they don't offend noobs like yourself? Think carefully about this point before you reply with your crying "omfg my GTX won't play it max" attitude.

Negitive....checked the ingame console and its still being rendered using DX10 with "high" shaders

I think I'm going to give it another chance. Playing with everything on low at 800x600 is sort of off putting though.

6600TD (), 1GB RAM, E6320 3.1GHz.

I'm thinking of upgrading to 4Gb from 2GB of Ram. Would you say that this game will benefit from it, would i notice the difference?

Yes probably it would run smoother, so far ive been playing crysis and its using jsut over 1200mb of ram.

Turned all settings down to high still renders with DX10
