when you level up and new abilities come available do you have to visit skill trainers of some kind like traditional mmos or can u just equip them?

Do items suffer durability damage?

Nah you just equip them via the skills screen (press K) - it will prompt you anyway.

Yes Items do get durability damage, you can repair them at vendors.

Fingers crossed I will get on for an hour or so this evening and then Sunday will be the next time I manage to get on.

Definately finding the staff better than the hammer, due to it hitting faster the loss in overall dps over a hammer is more than made up with the faster supercharge gain with the fast hitting speed of the staff.

Just installing this for my pc. Any quick noob tips to pass on?
I don't wanna make a hash of things and mess things up. I also want to get playing quickly, rather than read through 8 very long pages of posts first. :)

Thanks in advance :)

How similar to this is to WoW, or is it just a button basher, also only 8 skills like Guildwars?

Might hold out for Rift, not sure whether to get this or not.

Nothing like WoW ..or even GW, and far better than Rift, Played a .lot of Rift in beta, wont be buying it ..infact tho I'm still in the beta I have removed the game from PC.

Of the 2 this is far better, the game lacks a lot, but what it does have is the fun factor.

it seems fun like others said, but it also seems to be more of a button basher. Can see me getting bored fast, oh well it only cost me £2 due to some store vouchers i had.

one question, the items you equip in the inventory screen effect your stats etc, but then in the style screen, it seems you can equip anything you have picked up for looks only but wont exactly effect your stats? if you get what i mean? So you can have high stat gear equiped but then looks wise you can have what you think looks best?

Sorry i should have made that sound clearer :p

No, that sounds correct. When you collect new gear, if it says "Not Collected" just simply equip it, then unequip it. And that's it. You've collected that style of clothing. So yeah, you can have high geared clothing but change your style to whatever you want. I've changed my character's outfits a lot and it's great being able to mix and match styles and colours. Especially when certain clothing don't look too well in other colours. Plus you get feats for collecting styles.

Just to also add, if you buy a style of clothing, you can equip it and sell it back. Everyone wins :D

after getting to level 30 im finding the game rather dull, is there any solo stuff to get marks of victory where you dont have to wait 15mins of doing nothing?

Dude, there is plenty of things to do after you've hit 30 in game. Join a league and get going on some duos/hard alerts/raids. Since I've hit 30, I've done around 20 duos, 15 hard alerts and 6 raids. It's damn fun and a very good learning curve as well.

There are also specific level 30 missions for you to do. If you need help doing them, by all means ask and I am sure someone will help you.

Im in a league but considering leaving only managed a couple of duos with them so far, problem i have is finding a high level league that actually speaks english.

Ah let me guess, you're on the EU servers. This is why I went on the US servers. My league are mainly American and it helps lol. Plus we're very well versed with all things duos/hard alerts/raids related. Since most of us were in the beta as well.
