would you recommend it? I'm in a twist between this, lotro f2p and rift.

See the pics and the video I have linked on here. Also check out the official site: www.dcuniverseonline.com

So if I get this, how many updates am I going to have to install? :(

If you get the latest disc, I would imagine you would only need to update around 6-9GB

Is this a purely button bashing pvp game also?

No it's not. It's a whole lot more than that :)

Been playing on PS3 since launch and am really getting annoyed with the players. Seem like nobody understands their roles. We have Tanks attacking from range and healers trying to rush in on bosses. Its a horrible mess. Communication is also terrible with the pad and on-screen keyboard.

Such a shame as its a really fun different MMO, have hit 30 with my controller and am 2 pieces away from a full PVP set

Regretting not getting it on PC now though. How are the players on PC? I'm expecting people know their roles a lot better

Dits, what do you think about the gameplay and would you recommend it? I'm thinking of getting it for PC, heard it's amazing.

Also, will the bring out expansions and raise the level cap?

Its defiantly very accelerated compared to others on your way to 30. Took me under a week playing 2-3hrs a night so if you like chasing levels its going to get old quick.

System pretty much turns into Guild Wars, getting the perfect build and earning more skill points for feats you accomplish in the world.

DUO's, Alerts and Raids are pretty fun when you hit 30, but as expected with launch there are only a few you can do. Daily quests make up the rest of your time on the grind for gear.

Would recommend playing with a pad if you can, game just seems build for it, no more spamming 1,2,3,1,2,4... :)

In case anyone is interested, I am on xfire broadcasting DCUO right now. Not sure how you can view it cos I've never done this before. But I will be pretty much broadcasting every night from now on so if anyone wants to see how this game is played and what you need to for obtaining armour, have a watch. My account is krypton29 :)

wtf just realised i have this in my steam list i do not remember buying at all i must have been drunk, as i got it on ps3 a few days after it came out, 2 days and i couldnt be arsed playing anymore on the ps3 as it was too much of a hassel im hoping its much better on pc, now i just need to get an OS installed on my main gaming pc as i doubt it will run on my lappy.

Been playing for a few weeks and im not going to subscribe cant help thinking that the game lacks quite a lot, have done 2 raids, all the duos (daily :() etc
Got 2 characters to 30 so might come back in 6 months to see if they have added anything of interest but as a MMO has kept my interest since i first played CoH i probably wont.

In a way i agree, Just isn't enough end game content for the user currently.

As a base though, i think its a got a great concept. They just need to supply more content, like a monthly update or so to keep people interested. Not everybody can grind out Alerts over and over again and find it enthralling...

They will keep my subscription for at least 2-3 months though as I really want to support the game, as it could have a bright future once the bugs/niggles are fixed and we start seeing the output of content.

They are doing monthly updates. They are apparently adding an additional Mentor this month. The game won't start to pick up until they sort out the bugs. PS3 version is very buggy with no Voice Chat on some servers.

I don't use voice chat. Our league uses vent when league chat stops working (which is a regular occurance but I can live with it)

Also, I might be doing a hard alert or two or three tonight. So if there are any level 30 tanks, dps and controllers, hit me up. I will be using my level 30 healer Overman. I am on US server Zero Hour. I will be online from around 7pm tonight. :D
