Roll on a US server if you:
- Want to play at non-peak times where the cities feel fairly empty and is harder to get groups for alerts
- Dont want to do raids
- You want to do raids at ~1am through till 3am
- Plan on doing most stuff solo unless youre prepared to stay up very late

That's why I am on the US server. Especially at weekends. I prefer to raid well into the early hours of the morning. On a weeknight I can be up until as late as 4am depending on my work shift.

Besides the US servers peak time is around 1am UK time. Perfect for me :D

Which is fair enough, i just dont really agree with you suggesting people roll on a US server on a primarily european forum. Perhaps mention that you play very late nights when you tell people to play US.....

I think people are well aware that when you play on US servers, you're likely to play well into the night. I recommend it, I don't force them into it. We all have our preferences. I prefer the US cos I am used to it and I played with some of those guys in beta. So it was obvious I would join them when it went live. :)

Thats fair for a personal choice but you know that players will have a better experience in the social side of things if they play on EU servers. Yes there are exceptions for those that work late but the vast majority will be better off on EU.

I might give this another go on a pve server so i dont rage quit about being ganked all the time, is there anyway to get AA working? Game looked pretty bad without it .

PvP is what makes this game yes players get ganked, it happens you learn and level, or just join a big enough league that will protect you.

In ours we try look after the low levels guys but its not always possible, but hey I was ganked a ton when I leveled, but I leveled, and paid em back with interest :)

Worse thing about PvP servers is the people who whine in open chat about being ganked.

Ok I didn't get to raid last night as I was out partying and couldn't raid on Thursday as we didn't have enough members to do it with. But hopefully tonight we will be running raids and I will be streaming live as usual. Tune in from about 6 or 7pm onwards :)

Guys im considering buying the game, in terms of holding my attention and things to do what is the game like would be nice to hear from players rather than reading the reviews as sometimes they have a pre-formed opinion

Watch the live streaming that I post each night if you can. In fact I have one running now:

Tried watching that the other night, was going at 1-15fps with a crap load of particle effects from 10 different players. Couldn't really tell what was going on.

Hit lvl 30 game is terrible

Hi,

Nice ride to 30 fun and exciting but once I hit endgame I was so disappointed.

1. Loot hunting obsolete. All there is to do and you can do is rerun the same content as before to grind marks.
2. Best gear in game can only be bought from vendor! WTF is up with this. No random gear drops that are worthy after you have the tier1/2 gear!
3. You have all the hard alerts and a solo mish(invasion) in the journal that you can enter solo in the world but impossible to complete!
4. Endgame content extremely repetetive. Solo challenges and duos too easy. Alerts to frustrating to get a group going for. Ques bugged.
5. Getting in half completed group content when queing!
6. Once you have the tier gear there is no meaning with combat since you get nothing useful from tier missions. All there is left to do is feat hunting.

The above post isn't all too encouraging :( Was thinking of dumping WoW as I find myself logging on less and less every week. The crap community and ping pong like balancing that's been going on since Cata launch (I've never seen so many balancing hotfixes hitting the servers before) are really turning me off. Was thinking about Rift as alternative but it's too WoW like and a fair bit of wow-tards are highly likely to move to it when it launches.

So between Rift and DCUO - what compelling reasons could you give me to choose this game over the wow clone?

first off wow is a clone of previous games.... Havent tried rift as i didnt get the beta invite oddly enough, i subbed for the free month with dcou loved it until level 30 where the game for me got repetative and tedius. Right now im playing warhammer onlines endless free trial, can only level up to 10 unless you sub though but i think im going to, seems to be a lot better than when i tried it previously. LOTRO has one of the best communities, mostly mature and friendly but with it being free to play there is now the wow numbskulls coming but they dnt stick around long when they realise ignorance gets them nowhere.

Been playing thegame for about a week now and enjoying it very much, the combat system is refreshingly different in comparison to the standard mmo's. Just joined Immortals Guild (thanks wab, my in game is Bellator, spoke briefly yesterday) and looking forward to the end game. Coming from a background of very hardcore WoW raiding, looking forward to a more casual, less time consuming end game. I like the variety in end game option (solo/duo/alert/raids/pvp) and whilst there may not be huge amounts from a hardcore perspective, seems like there is plenty from a casual point of view.

They do however need to revamp the comms / chat side, it is a little user-unfriendly.
