***Official DC Universe Online Thread***

Quick question. I noticed last update introduced new body types, and the Devs have mentioned on the forums that they want to implement a way to change existing ones now that new ones are in. Has that actually been done yet, and if so, where?

First I've heard of this. I have 5 characters from the very start of the launch in Jan. And to be honest I wouldn't want to change their body type lol. I have created a new character using one of the new body types. Doesn't feel all that "new" if you ask me. But if they are doing that for existing players, then great for those that want it.

Bought this on pc ages ago but want to try it on ps3 but damn it still hasnt been released, whoever claimed nov1st should be shot xD

You know you could have downloaded it via the Playstation Network lol. But the devs were updating on Facebook and mentioned at the time the client for the PS3 will take a little longer than the PC version. However, all that should be resolved now as of 3hrs or so ago the game is back up and running. So get your free time peeps ;)

Downloaded the game it now gets as far as my toons page but the game still will not load :0 ..was nice visiting my old toons again :).

Same old extremely poor service from SOE.

i just started the download on ps3 and i couldnt download any earlier as it was trying to charge me £40! im reading a lot still that the eu servers are not working for the ps3 though but as i cant check myself i cant really comment.

The website was down all yesterday, so much for a launch day! Seems back today.
The launch day was based on american time. Servers didn't go down for us until around 10 am yesterday (4 am for them) which is when coversion to f2p began.
I'm a bit miffed that steam decided to re-download the entire game meaning i'll probably have to patch it up again =/

Hmm, I downloaded this yesterday, does that mean I'll have to download the whole thing again? Hopefully not and I'll be able to give it a try tonight!

Well I finish work in 30mins. So when I get home I will see what awaits me when I hit the Station launcher. If I have to download the entire game again, well not much else I can do about that I guess lol.

You probably won't. My steam must have had a wobble for some odd reason :(. Downloading the 6 GB worth of patches is irritating :(

EDIT: If you bought it via Steam, DO NOT launch it that way. It appears that Steam attempts to validate the game, but as it's version isn't up to date with the current client it redownloads the whole damn thing forcing you to patch it up again.

Didn't read what I wrote, eh? Don't launch or verify files via steam. Their client is out of sync with the station client and will force a full redownload and repatch.

Depends on the role you want to play really. For tanking go ice. Other roles I can't say much about as I haven't played about with them. Controllers (Light/Gadget/Mental) seem to be more or less balanced afaik. Nature healer is more about hots and sorcery is more direct heals (please note - that may be an outdated view on things and is likely to be corrected). Each power set can switch over to dps as well so play whatever you fancy really :).
