To keep things a bit better organised I have created this new thread to keep
all things DCS: World related together, links to older OCuk threads about these sims are also included.
This thread is for tutorials and helping each other, do NOT SPAM it with "ED DCS NEWS"

Version info: there are now 2 versions (one is release other dev), yippee if you have a 1TB SSD, not so much if you do not own a drive that big

DCS World
"Digital Combat Simulator World (DCS World) is a free-to-play digital battlefield game, focusing on a military aircraft simulation.
It includes a FREE Su-25T attack aircraft and it is extensible through additional DCS modules as well as user-made add-ons and mods. "

The first module released in the series was the Black Shark helicopter.
NOTE: Do NOT buy Black Shark 1 (on Steam and other outlets) as it has been superceeded by Black Shark 2.
BS1 will NOT but updated at all, so avoid it (I don't know why they even still sell it , it is abandonware).
Just buy the FULL version of black Shark 2.

Sometimes Eagle Dynamics have sales on, reducing their prices to levels that are not so expensive ,
I will keep an eye out for the sales and keep you updated here.

Been playing dcs a10 on & off for a few months but I now have a good set up to really get in to the sim

The Huey, is it full study sim level like the A10?

My X52 is collecting dust atm, I really want to get back into the A10 but my internet connection is too flaky right now and I don't much care for flying on me tod.

Edit: Also, god I hope DCS gets Oculus Rift support. Have they spoken about this?

Yep the Huey is full on HARD CORE mode flying

Even better now they have changed the FM to be more like the real life version.
