For me, it's the best VR experience I've come across, and that includes Asseto, IL2 and Elite.
The caveat is that it's "quite demanding" on your system. If you try it, be aware that you might be best served looking on the DCS forums for guidance on appropriate settings for your hardware.
As an example, I use a 1080, and have tone down my settings to try to achieve a steady 45fps in ASW.

Are you intending to buy the F14?
I'm currently thinking no. I see a lot of overlap of similarities with the F18 in use, it'll have fewer weapon systems available (and by a decent margin) and on top of that, I have a ton of other aircraft to still get to grips with.
Making up for that, I'm guessing that it will be quite characterful, being a bit more of a handful than the F18, and with it's swing wing, my understanding is that it will be faster than the F18.

A thought, if you are intending to pre-order, I believe that the Heatblur site has the option to buy a pair of licenses with a slight discount, which could sway me.
 
Just been checking the loadout for the F14.
Will include Aim9, Aim54 (phoenix) and some LGBs.
No A2G missiles, HARM, Harpoon.
In short, a bit of a one trick pony. Very fast (max of mach 2.3 vs 1.8 for the F18c), very long range Aim54s, 25% large combat radius.

If you want to go halves on the double pack let me know, like you said you only save $5 each so its not really a drama if you dont. Think im sold on it, I get too confused with massive loadouts anyway!

Might be able to play something tonight if you get the chance

Have had a bit of a ponder, and have decided that I'm just going to have to buy the F14. I know that it doesn't carry the range of armaments that the F18 does, but as you said the other night, it's cold war, so probably more of a handful and as such, more "characterful" and challenging to fly.

I expect to be on over the next few evenings, until around 9:30pm. If you fancy catching me online, I'll be on the OCUK discord channel within the Flight Sims voicecom section.
