Sorry for not being around the last few days..So busy at work!

The new training mission sounds good, I will be on hopefully tomorrow and Friday if anyone is around?

Unless I'm editing missions, I tend to now run up a multiplayer server and as part of OCUK you're definitely welcome to join. As it's my rather ancient PC hosting, not sure how it will handle upto 5 of us, but it's certainly coped with 3.
The Server ID = Suk
P/W = OCUK
I'll let you have my Discord channel if you join via chat

Unfortunately I'm busy tonight, but tend to be on most evenings from around 7:00-9:30
Definitely NOT too serious. We're still working out what's fun to do as a group.
The last session was all three of us in A10Cs. Flew formation for 25 mins, then conducted a ground attack using guns only. Boucey and myself fly VR, and MrR if he feels like it.

The "training" missions that I'm currently running whilst hosting have just been updated and I have them for all 4 maps. For each of map, pretty much any non-FC3 aircraft is included, usually with multiple versions available.

Do you chaps have a preference on aircraft to fly?
Boycey is currently focusing mostly on the Harrier. MrR and myself mostly on the F18.
I think the only truly "common" aircraft that we have is the A10C, hence why we ended up using it.
I have most of the aircraft and choppers, only excluding the trainers, i.e. Hawk, L39 and Aviojet.

Assuming that we're happy to fly together, my thought was to progress towards some planned missions, with one of us creating a mission, someone else acting as "flight commander", i.e. recommending aircraft suitable for the task at hand and then some high level thoughts on what we should be doing. Certainly NOT to the point of rigidity, but at least give us a reason to fly together.
 
Good to see MrR on last night.
Had a potter around together in Hueys, F18s and a pair of Viggens. Along the way, managed to crash into each other whilst testing flare dispensing in A10Cs (my fault).
All the same, good fun and a good way to test the mission that should work fine for anyone who wishes to join.

As mentioned, I run up a server most evenings around 7-7:30pm for a couple of hours.

you need to get your butt into the ocuk discord mate, We normally there all day.
 
Had a look at the OCUK discord. Can't see a dedicated voice room for DCS. Can that be added?
Just running up my server for a couple of hours.

Sorry to hear that.

I'm doing the usual stuff or running up a server whenever I'm on. If someone's around, cool, if not, well it doesn't seem to make any difference to my frame rate in game.
 
@MrRoper @Mr_Sukebe @Techen and anyone else wishing to play DCS multi, Mynight has kindly allocated a couple of channels on the OCUK Discord labelled Flying sims 1 + 2 under general voice channels. Whether you want to use these or not is completely up to you guys and I dont mind joining other peoples anyway but if theres anyone here looking for a game you can just drop in there and we can all see you and join as necessary.

Plus having twop channels means that if you arent into flying something with one group you can just join the other channel and vice versa. Hope this is beneficial to people!

I'll ensure that when I'm online that I log in to one of those.

Revisited use of the RB15 with the Viggen over the last couple of nights. That was fun.
Going to dig into using the BK90 with the Viggen next. Not sure if you guys have seen any videos of it in action, but it looks fabulous. Basically a gliding cluster bomb. Drop it roughly 7km from the target having aimed at a waypoint, then get the hell out of dodge. In the meantime, the glider meanders on it, deploys it's cluster munitions and completely munches the target point.

yikes latest beta patch has some serious problems with gfx effects
Red lights are appearing on towers and con trails are going in all directions from wing tips

Oh and it seems to crash a lot more now to
