Great to hear! It's the ultimate flying machine as far as DCS goes, no other jet has its level of ultra-maneuverabilityThat’s great advice, I just love the Su27

I highly recommend you start with that, its difficulty curve is much gentler than going against 2000+ year NATO in your 1980s Soviet machine. There is a similar mission to your "Su27 vs F16" with the F-15 going against Mig-31s and their long range capability, but the tactics are exactly the same as the above (apart from the missing EOS on the F-15).I do have the f15 and Georgian war too.
I made a quick vid, see below. Basically, you are assuming an F-16 amraam missile launch at about 30km on radar and start doing side sweeps. Once your radar is able to keep a stable lock, keep the solid dot within the box of your HUD and continue snaking side to side. (The lock may drop as the F-16 has a small radar cross section and it uses jammer. The lock may also drop if you fly inverted. Btw, I do not recommend using jammer in your Su27 as you WANT him to launch from a long distance). As you get closer, start launching your long range missiles one by one during the middle part of your side-to-side. His missiles will have to lead your turns from long range, constantly turn and bleed all their speed in the dense air. Staying low (even lower than I did in the vid) would also help your radar - painting enemy against the sky is easier than against the terrain. Prevent him from further launches (at close range your snaking is very risky against amraams) by spamming your missiles and making him defensive. If he dodges your semi-active missles and you merge, finish the job with an off bore IR R-73 missile.Any advice can you give on notching please?
NB This tactic is viable against a single F-16. If there are two or more, it is better to bait their launches and run away a few times - as I described in the previous post. Or use EOS and stealth them from behind. You can quickly kill entire flights without them knowing. Ideally you'd need an AWACS to guide you though.
