It's not like this game was rushed
it could have been a great game if one of the devs played the first one.And how the hell do you switch off all the highlighted doors and laddrers?(yellow highlights)
I just hope that Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is going to be good.

Aye they are fine. I think its just part of a wider system stability issue I've got. Since getting my GTX 580, I haven't had what I would call a rock solid system. I stuck in a Corsair HX850W psu which should be absolutely fine, but I still get kernel 41 errors occasionally.
It's all happened since my motherboard sound stopped working. I sent it back to OcUK for repair/replacement. They didn't fix it/replace it so I just stuck in an expansion slot sound card.
Thanks guys, swear the combine is greyed outWill check again!
It will be greyed out if you don't have any upgradeable weapons.

They did play the original... And it IS still a great game. You can't exactly comment if you haven't played much of it...
It's in gameplay options to turn off the object highlight.
Yeah, definitely sounds like general system issues. Of course, there is always the potential that the mobo is more damaged than you think
Check check all drivers are 100% up to date.

Well lets see..in the first game people went WOW at the shiny floor at Mandley's office you could see yourself
most said it had to be ray traced!! lots of good\great game play was brought to the table.
Now the new one...go to a bath room and look at the mirror to see yourself..oh wait you can't as
ALL the mirrors are either broken or have not been cleaned since the first game.
The graphics are nothing to shout about and the AI..well there is none.
The hacking is very easy and the parts where you can make a choice to make people see your way are easy.
Good god you almost sound you're taking this personally. Seriously the floor in Manderleys office? Ray tracing?

The graphics in Deus Ex were nothing to shout about and the AI? You are seriously going there? Deus Ex's AI is just as blind and just as dumb. The AI in this game has been set up with a field of vision/hearing in order to allow for stealth play but can still do combat perfectly well.
Making choices to get people to see your way? Its called conversation. You know, the thing Deus Ex generally only had as a 1 way thing? The dialogue choices you make have a real effect on the outcome of the conversation and how the other person acts and the Social Enhancer really lets you see the depth of it.
Yes, this game is not Deus Ex and yes, it has its problems but it is not the core gameplay.

Best game this year for me. Then again, was not too keen on Witcher 2 and have never bothered with Portal 2.

I thought Portal 2 was good but not a patch on the first one, still need to complete the first Witcher too before I can start the second!

Just finished my first play though going for the no kills achievement but must have killed somone by accident along the way as i didnt get it
But awesome game will probally do another playthough next week and go on mass killing spree's
Took me 20 hours to beat it and i spent quite abit of time reading emails and trying to find secret areas. Also those who have completed it did you watch the credits till the end for the extra bits?

If we're comparing it to the first game here.....
Well the hacking is infinitely harder, you have to actually do something this time. In the original you could put just one point in hacking and be able to hack any console in the game. You certainly couldnt do that with this one. Its not that hard but if youve seen how many computers and keypads that need hacking in this game, then you would just not bother as it would be too much of a chore.
I dont recall any points in the original where you had some hard dialog choices that had a drastic outcome on how the situation unfolded. Its a multiple choice conversation system, how complex can you expect it to get?
I have no complaints with the graphics, theyre not groundbreaking but still good. I really dont know what youre getting at with mirrors, why would i need to see adams reflection when i see him 3rd person and in conversations all the time

It depends what mods you are trying to 'attach' to the weapon. Not all weapons can have damage or magazine capacity mods and each weapon will only accept one of the special weapon mods(armor peircing, tracking etc)
The mods that each gun can combine with are mentioned in when you examine it. The half shaded bars represent areas that can be increased in the gun. The special mod is mentioned in the dialog to the side, right at the bottom

And the AI in the original Deus Ex is shocking as well.

2/10 for trolling mate(though i have responded, so maybe higher).I am playing the original at the moment side by side with this and i am very happy with it as a sequel/prequel, it has a lot in common with it and is definitely a worthy follow up imo
Hah!Bah...i cant play games like this anymore, just get that sense of being overwhelmed with stuff to do and remember, plus thesedays my attention span is shot to pieces, i just have to stop playing after an hour or so.
I mean, the tutorial on hacking..that just went right over my head at 500mph..

Instant, no fuss, no complication, multiplayer blasting is about all i can manage these days.
I'm just going really really slowly through each area. 4 hours in and only just got the typhoon.
OK I just recently found it. The storage locker is by the fire escape (how you get into the building), right next to the basketball court. Be sure to remove the cabinet from the back and turn the valve.
