No. I just remember to let my battery charge Eventually there is an aug to increase recharge speed, and you get 5 max.

Boss is annoying me!

I can hardly take any shots, since I've got no improved armor

If you're talking about the first boss, just take cover and sprint to new cover, found shotgun very effective and that boss rather easy IMO.
