Averaging between 50-60fps at 1680x1050 dx11 maxed out (Vsync enabled High FXAA, High SSAO, High DOF, Tesselation etc) on a q6600 and 470@ 805/1610.

wow that's one poorly optimized game then as doesn't look that amazing to me in the graphics department

He has Vsync enabled..

what does that matter he says it dips to 50 ? so he isn't being held back by vsync ,sorry but this game isn't even that good looking ? why on earth is it only getting 50 fps on a gtx 470 ? that's shocking tbh must be a really bad port or something ? that has rearranged the battle plan on my next gpu upgrade looks like a 5850 or 6870 just isn't going to cut it.

CBA! :p

...and from the screenshots my DX9 version doesn't look much different?

You're missing out on Tessellation to round out the characters some for starters.

Looks good, if not a little 'orange' in all the screenshots. Dunno how much of that is a visual influence from the hud. I don't suppose you can change hud colour..?

The orange is intentional.

That hub has a orange or green 'must' for effect. :)

Not sure about the HUD, will check.

He has Vsync enabled..

Was about to point that out :p most of the time it sits at 60 with the occasional dips to 50.

Edit: Disabled vsync and left triple buffering on as I don't seem to be suffering from much tearing. I'm yet to see the fps dip below 70. Feels considerably smoother too so will leave it that way.

Have you seen side-by-side with and without tessellation? The shots I saw look near identical.

It's not huge, but neither is the performance decrease, but I'm all for more rounded characters.

I'm not sure if you're serious or just trolling. The game doesn't quite hit Cryengine 3/BF3 standards but it's still pretty damn good looking from what I've seen. They have quite a few high-end effects in there, SSAO, Tesselation, FXAA, deferred ( I assume ) lighting. The only thing that it's lacking from what I can see is dynamic GI.

I love it when people complain at 50-60fps being shockingly low

Serious question: Can this game not do dynamic shadows? Every shot I see of it, it only has a couple of shadows near major level architecture, but nobody ever casts a shadow. It's bizarre.

Obviously it's not an option is it. And now that you've mentioned it, I didn't notice before. Because I've been to engrossed by the story and the gameplay!
