Official DFI NF4Ultra-D/SLi owners thread.

Yes you can turn off full screen logo, mine is.

Actualy that might answer Amidar's question too, since he wont see anything at POST.

Just hit DEL when you see logo to enter BIOS ( if you did'nt know), and IIRC pressing TAB will show POST screen.

Yeah, I'd defo order this board but I dislike OcUK's expensive shipping, I'd much prefer a cheaper slower posting service.. :P But I'm so tempted.

Only worry is modding this board when I eventually get 2 x PCI Express gpu's and it dieing. As they will probably notice it was modded even if I unmodded before sending it back. But what are the chances..

Cheers Ricco,

Will give that a go.

If you use conductive paint to make the connection ,then it will come off easily with acetone. But I expect a pencil trace will do it too..

Thanks surge! I'm defo going for one of those boards, why pay £25 more when you can just do a little (reversible) mod. Ah man thats so good :D

That's if you get one of the earlier boards. Nvidia are supposed to be making it so you can't mod the Ultra-Ds. They're probably gonna put a laser cut between the two points or something.

"But apparently the boards OcUK currently stock can be modded. Has anyone actually tried this yet with the Ultra-D board from OcUK?"

I'd try and tell you tomorrow but I haven't had a shipping confirmation, I ordered at like 11am and everythings in stock :(

Ok think its worthwhile to add that the Chipset fan on mine is indeed an annoyance.. guess its coming from an NF7-S with zalman passive on the northbridge but as theres no room for one on this im gonna have to purchase that little £5 vantec jobby and just use the tiny heatsink that comes with it.

The board is lovely though, very nice indeed.
