Yeah it was really really scrub tier:

Yes indeed I can but not non stop all game (whilst playing carry not support) and no one else bothers.

5 game losing streak now, 3 against Riki teams :p:(

it depends, you can solo support really easily in pubs if you just get **** done, either get kills on your safe lane/mid and push a tower, it's all about just choosing the right moments then riding the momentum from that to the next gold spurt if that makes sense.

you can also go to the enemy safelane if you have a strong hero on that lane (e.g clock).

Trust me... that attitude towards Dota changes when you start playing at a higher MMR. Fortunately, I'm getting dragged up by my friends who're far better than me... that being said, I never find myself in a game where I'm bored, nowadays. I can easily say 85% of the losses I've had in recent memory have been close games which I've really enjoyed.

I would rather have 10 good games where I've lost, learned a few things and really enjoyed myself than have 10 easy wins because I went into AP Normal with a 4 stack of newer players and just killed everyone due to their lack of knowledge. There's something to be said about somebody who actually does that... probably cares a little too much about their win rate on Dotabuff to see things clearly.

Care less about your stats and just play for the sake of learning. If you get better, the Wins will fix themselves and you can stop worrying about it then! :D

I'd rather win with a stomp than lose with a stomp.

I don't care about the outcome of the game if its close and enjoyable.

Like I say... play with better people then and you'll find stomps a not so regular occurrence. I can only assume you weren't having a great time playing with Tune, nor were you having a great time playing by yourself to end up with 3 people who (although I think Shami, Dhruvie and Anuraj are pretty awesome people) aren't exactly channelling Dendi, to get yourself some easy wins.

It just screams "I care a little too much about my Dotabuff stats". Just seems somewhat hypocritical coming from the guy who used to outright complain every time he had an "easy win".

I also think Purdy knows best that playing with them doesn't always give you a easy win since he has a 33% winrate with anuraj :p

Its more so I don't enjoy playing the game in solo queue so I'd rather play with them than not play at all.

That wasn't your attitude when hating on Anuraj months ago ;p

Like 90% of the games are stomps at that tier though which gets annoying quick. Best games I have are solo queue or five stack

The game realises eventually and beats you down :p

What's my win with dhruvie

My 50 more wins than loss has tanked badly lol

To be fair, I'd say Purdy is guilty of dragging Anuraj up quite a fair bit... and Anuraj simply can't play at that level, unless he's got 4 people constantly guiding him and telling him what to do. (At least that's what I found...)

Hopefully without sounding like an insensitive prat about it, I'd say Purdy is a better player than yourself and he drags Anuraj up a fair bit, through the MMR rankings. Whilst with yourself it's a case of Anuraj is still left within his comfort zone whenever he plays... so he has more impact in the game. Obviously that's a good thing for Anuraj. Not so much for you, as it just puts you in a position where you may as well face roll the keyboard and type gg after 15 minutes.

Well I'm still around 700 mmr higher than anuraj and 400 lower than Purdy so its not a huge difference between me and Purdy. We'd likely be matched against each other in ranked.

They removed the ability to see what skill bracket you're in, however it's still there and very relevant. Whilst you're only a few hundred MMR away from Purdy... you're constantly playing in Normal skill games, because of playing with a stack of people who're at that skill level. It'd just be unfair if Valve decided to equate everyone to the highest MMR and shove them in at that type of skill level so it makes you play at their level... One could make the argument that the MMR you've attained is unwarranted because you're playing at a considerably lower level to get it. And it's very apparent that the entire feature is still in it's early phases (by that I mean, people seem to get + MMR for a victory regardless. It doesn't seem to take into account the level at which they play and the people they're playing with and against. Rather just the victory and a few other things). This is why I think MMR is pretty much a redundant way of discussing how "good a player is".

And I'd just wanna go on record and say, if we're going to quantify skill using MMR... I'd say Purdy is easily "more than 400 MMR" better than you, and yet again I say that without meaning to be a horrible ****. He's one of the better mids I've ever played with. Shame he can't support for crap though HAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
