*** Official Dota 2 Thread ***

So I won 7 out of my first 10 ranked matches and got a solo rating of: 2553 which I think is really low. I asked someone and they said it's good for my level which is 14. Anyone clarify? Thanks.
 
Just played one of those games where I remember why I hate public so much.

We have a racks, we have all their towers apart from T3. My team thinks they can win 2v5 or 3v5 and sometimes 1v5. I ask everyone to wait, to group, we could have gg pushed at 35 minutes but no people try to take racks as 2 and don't wait for the rest of the team to come. That is the worst game of dota I have ever played I want to stop playing.

everyone has games like that, even at high level, I'm at 5.2k SOLO mmr and check this game: 447765014

I was jungle Naix and our troll got 5 min midas, died twice because rubick left hhim alone and he decides to sell his midas and buy wards, we spend about 20 minutes of the game 4v5 without him even using troll ulti AND we were behind that whole time, somehow come back and win it, happened just now.

As you get higher MMR people think they have some sort of entitlement and if the game doesn't go exactly how they say then they will ruin it.

I'm more than happy to be shouted at if it's in the spirit of helping me to learn how to play properly - it just annoys me when I specifically ask the team for what they want me to do and get no response, but then get flamed to bits when the decision I made in the end turned out not to be right!

Just had another win at last, but after 3 games where members of my own team abandoned and didn't work together it was just the reverse of that - their team dropped down to 2 after a little bit and we destroyed them... Not a whole lot of fun but I at least got to practice a little more

If you would like you can join myself and a few friends I've met online play a few games. We are still pretty new ourselves so learning the ropes together. Not much shouting going on, just learning teamwork and the heroes. Much rather someone else who communicates instead of pinging the map constantly and being annoying.

Theres a group of 3 of us who are on most evenings playing with voice comms. :D
