*** Official Dota 2 Thread ***

I agree, Tusk is a bit of a beast at the moment. It makes sense that his ulti was changed to remove the 50% threshold. The whole point of the hero is to get stuck in and initiate the fight. SNOWBALL FIGHT!!!

Watched the Free to play documentary. Pretty decent very much reminds me of some of the pro CS players and the sacrifices that made to be the best.
 
Had a decent night going 5/1 which was nice for once and had arguably my best game of dota ever.

Was playing DP and we were getting mauled. It was about 36/13 with all our outer towers down and they had only lost one tower. Their Pudge player was giving it large (fair enough he was 17/0) even his own team were telling him to shut up. Well he decided he could win solo and we were just defending. Every time we killed him (got about 3 kills on him as a team) he chucked a bigger and bigger hissy fit and I was needling him to get him more riled. All the time they messed about gave myself and Sniper time to farm (was only 4 of us as disruptor had quit) and we just snowballed.

Myself, Earthshaker and Sniper just ended up with perfect teamwork. We were winning every team fight and we took out all their outer towers (losing only 1 more ourselves) by this point Pudge was crying and swearing at us in Polish I think and we got another group kill on him leaving him 17/14 and he rage quit :D

We mopped and 4 man won in an impossible situation winning the game and k/d about 68/57 :D played DP to 19/6 or something like that :D

That's one way to throw a game, die to an entire team solo when you're so far ahead gives a TON of exp, the gold doesn't matter at that point, it is getting the mass of exp from killing the snowballed player.. I wouldn't be surprised if your entire team didn't gain 2 levels from killing him the first time.
 
Some ******* in our game last night dropped boots to get two rapiers and walked up to their base and lost them, wish you could ban these people
 
The part when hyhyhy picks SF and iceiceice goes "do you really want him" something like that was sad to watch as that pick lost them they game.Have to give iceiceice rep for standing by his captain even tho he was wrong and lost them match.
 
Think I need to keep my mouth shut even when it appears these Russian ***** are purposely trolling :(

Last 2 days I have had the following:

  • Support WD going Phase boots/Shadow Blade with no idea what he is doing and no other items.
  • Same game as above, QoP calls mid so the last player obviously goes TA and then feeds, 0-10-4 in lane.
  • A Doom that wouldn't use his ult on spell castors, instead he would doom SB after he had used charge and ulti, everytime! Or he would wait until the enemy was almost dead and then doom them :(
  • A support Jakiro that rushed Aggs and didn't put a single point in liquid fire until about level 13. Even with his crappy one point in LF he didn't use it on any towers.
  • Same game, Bounty Hunter that wouldn't leave his lane to gank and only got his first kill just before the Ancient was destroyed.
  • A support Leshrac with the following items: Phase boots, Perseverance, Mystic staff, point booster. I assume he couldn't decide between Bloodstone and sheep stick?
  • No wards and with top Tier 1 and bottom Tier 1 still standing, proceed to run up middle and die trying to take down the tier 2 :(

Great fun playing in the trenches!

He walked up high ground and then just stood still not sure what to do after he got rapiers. Activated BKB before anyone got near him as well when killing the ancient. Only needed one more hit to win.

Dota 2 used to be fun, but in the last 12 months I found I would get more and more games like you described. I just uninstalled it in the end. But before I did I went and trolled for a few games. lol.

Dota 2 is a great game if played with balanced teams, but the problem is you get a balanced game maybe 10% of the time, other times you either on stronger or weaker team, or the one with the idiot or two on it.

Before Dota 2 I used to enjoy playing Demigod, even with only 100 people online it was easier to get a balanced game going, we just knew how good people roughly were and would play 3v3 mainly.

He also ran around in a circle after putting two heroes on 100hp not knowing which to kill. Best player UK.
 
Amazing game as spectre, get right to the end.... Steam crashes :rolleyes:

Manage reconnect but the game got classified as an abandon. Go **** off and die dota/steam :mad::p:(

Happened to me yesterday twice. Lost a game hard so next game go necro and proceed to rape face. They are two sets of rax down and the server goes down and no stats recorded. Start a new game and our mid feeds 10 kills in as many minutes, I can't salvage it and it's another loss. Go again and take timber and snowball hard. Just as we are about to rax the server dies again and no stats recorded...... FML fun waste of 2 hours
