She's like 3.5k I believe, Yames is 5k+ also. He just makes people think he's bad.
She's got pretty average pub level knowledge I'd say. I like Sheever, but white knighting aside, she's there as the token female.
She's there because she is a popular community figure, nothing to do with being female. Whether or not shes popular because she is female is a different thing.

Ah that casual sexism.
She's not the best player but she doesn't need to be, her game knowledge is actually pretty good and she is a good personality for panels etc. Her casting is poor but that is just because she's a bad caster, not because of her game knowledge.
Also yes her MMR is about 3.5k. Hardly bad.

Aye perhaps, but no-one else in the thread is trying to pass themselves off as an game analyst in a $10m tournament.
I like Sheever, I just think they have her in a weird role that she's not suited for. She's not a confident broadcaster and while I'm sure her game knowledge is fine, it's nowhere near the level of the other analysts. Ergo, token female.
I've got a better rack though .....

To be honest though you can't blame her. If valve or twitch or whoever asked me to be involved in the international in some way I would jump at the chance.

I found Sheever best when interviewing players during starladder. She was able to push the players for answers and came across really well. Could listen to Merlini/synderen all day long when it comes to decision making in game/mechanics and drafting.

Think I really need to find some new people to play with, my recent lot just seem to say 'gg' after like 5 mins and spend the whole game blaming and moaning at each other.
I'm in the Ocuk group in dota, gonna try and get grouping with some of you guys I think. I desperately need a new grouping experience.

the first game for them that I watched last night was intense.
This is exactly what a few guys and I were talking about last night too, skilled enough to play with the top level but just needs a bit of a different team setup. Mind you, I'd probably say the same about S4 after this week
