zeus is so fun, just had probably my most kills so far, almost all with ultimate though :D

This is starting to get pointless to play pub games. Nearly every other game I just get a team of feeders, who chase for kills early on and end up dying. Just played with a guy using doom who had 20 deaths in 40 mins.

Just focus on your own game, plenty of games are write offs but even so, focus on doing the best you can, maximising farm, building heroes properly, expanding your hero pool and making good decisions throughout. Start getting all of that right and you will find the tide start to turn, for a long time I was stuck in a rut of 50% win ratio but lately it's taking an upwards turn, with my win ratio being around 65%, it's nothing to do with my hero choice because I random and I don't think my teams are better, certainly not over the quantity of games I have played.

i love pub games you never know what will happen so exciting. i was part of a semi-pro team twice and it was the most boring thing ever. same picks, same bans all the time.
 
Anti Mage. Best farming simulator. 456 last hits :D Blinking from camp to camp is so fun. Managed to end up like 4 shotting them all and winning the game though.

I stopped playing Dota for this reason a few months ago... I was constantly playing with my friends and found it horribly boring playing CM and choosing the same few heroes. Jakiro, Venomancer, Sven, Leshrac, Undying, Ancient Apparition and some others. I was getting immensely bored with the same heroes... the same fights, the same everything really. I found very little variation... so I just stopped playing.

I'm starting to feel that "Dota buzz" again and I'm pretty sure I'll play it again... just for the pub games though. I couldn't really care about the fact I might get a team of feeders, I just enjoy playing with truly random set ups. More fun, if you ask me!
 
The meta has moved on a bit from a few of the heroes you selected - at the very least Sven isn't carry of the week (it's PL in pubs ;) ) and I'd be genuinely shocked to see AA in any game currently. At the very least you'd have a lot more heroes to play, tuskar being the most recent. Pubs get murdered by melee stun + tuskar by the way if you ever want to try out something amusing. Hell I've seen Riki/tusk blitz double ranged with snowball + cloud.

I had over 1000 XP per min on Lifestealer, without Midas :D.

Thats the thing, play the **** games to and eventually ul learn and become a better player able to carry these games. sometimes it is impossible but as long as you do well!
 
Played against a competent Visage last night, needless to say we got **** stomped, he went 17-0 :o

We could've won it but some bad Naga ults from me and a fully fed Sven/Troll/Mirana is a bit rough :p

Many people follow the competitive scene on here? Already excited for TI3 :D
 
i started playing this last night.

first game i was the dragon knight(?). that didnt go so well and did this feeding milarky.

2nd game i was a skeleton archer type, (clinks) or something. that went much better and we won the match :)

really is quite a steep learning curve.
 
While I still enjoy the game in general, it can be quite rage inducing, I am not sure I have ever played another game that can bring on similar levels of annoyance.

The cause of my rage this time around is Phantom Lancer. God I hate that guy. He is so annoying I am even tempted to learn to play him so I don't have to play against him.

Overall though it is a good game and I am having fun.

His illusions are really ******* annoying, to the point where he has 10 or so and you can't hit the real one for ****
