*** Official Dota 2 Thread ***

Just watched some of the match's they were pretty good. Kind of proves the merits of the game, Alliance came back and won from a losing position, and with all the varied strategies.

Well, watched the final game.. it was ******* nuts. How NaVi didn't capitalise on that advantage they had I just don't know and then the game came down to such a fine balance with a weak puck nailing an essential coil. Completely bonkers.

Made a start on the long journey of learning Dota 2. At the tail end of CS 1.6 peak popularity, loads of players were starting to pick up the original Dota. I now wish I was one of them :P

50% completed the in game tutorial, up to picking a hero from 20 and defeating the middle lane.

Been reading some beginner Dota 2 guides to get my head around things.

I realise there will be hundreds of hours required before being close to competent at the game.

See how it goes.

How do you tell somebody new that they suck too much and that's why you don't want to play with them with-out hurting dem feels:D

Too many people on my friends list are starting to play Dota 2,anyone else having this issue?

This is what I worry about, but I normally ask people if they're okay playing with me, knowing I'm bad.

When I eventually get better I'll be less inclined to play with people who didn't want to help when I was a noob, opposed to those who taught me the ropes, so I guess it can go both ways.

It'd be nice to get some OcUK v OcUK 10 man's going for a laugh.

Maybe we should start putting our levels in our usernames on Steam. Means we can quickly look down our friends list and know who we should invite.

Is anyone else having to wait 4 or 5 minutes to find a match? It then often fails to find a 10th person once it makes me click accept then I go back in the queue again.
