Yeah unfortunately they have a maintenance period which coincidences with our mornings - early afternoon when they have them.

Welcome to Maintenance Monday! Usually finished by 2pm but no doubt they'll be messing something else up. This makes Monday my day for doing real life stuff like housework etc
finally installed and ready to go.
didn't bother to read anything about the game so no idea what I'm getting in to but played tons of mmos in the past and assume this is going to be more similar to guild wars than like wow or something.
hopefully not owning chapters doesn't restrict my class selection but I guess it will.
theres no point taking a sub unless you own the chapters anyway I'd assume? since it only unlocks dlc and not chapters right?

I believe there are 2 classes locked to chapters, Warden and Necromancer (although you can buy Warden separately, and will be able to buy Necromancer separately soon).
You can buy DLCs without buying chapters, although they are smaller in content. ESO+ will give you all DLC + all chapters except for the latest one (for all the time you stay subbed)

Ive finally had a look at some builds and got myself sorted, just need top get to 160 and start gear hunting.
Also didn't realise the undaunted guild has loads of dailies and quests so started a load of those, i need to level them up for a skill.
Wont be on tonight as start nightshift this week, but will try and get on in early evening tomorrow.

What chapter gives you the Necromancer? That's the one ALT that I would love to play.

no way to store your password locally really puts me off logging in though.
I went for a smoke at lvl3 last night or something.. came back was logged out thought meh I'll just watch youtube.
I guess I need to store my password as paintext on the desktop or something cos these secure passwords and no saved encrypted logins...... 1998

btw is the initial loading time when you login a character supposed to be so damn long? task manager says my pc is basically waiting so I guess its the server synchronising me to a zone or whatever?
It can take a little while. It depends on numbers on the server.
The rank doesn't matter towards the 10 member requirement - but it looks like someone has already promoted you
Actually scratch that, I still can't deposit things in the bank. It says my guild rank does not allow me to that.
So can someone promote me or allow recruits to deposit stuff?
