*** Official Elder Scrolls MMO Thread ***

It does lack some important feedback though, having to go into another screen to see what conditions are affecting you is a bit of an oversight.

The colour palette could do with some expansion too, I am getting a little tired of greys and browns.

While I like the fact that it gets dark at night, I would also like some way of generating light so I don't have to stop playing because it is too dark. EQ managed that 15 years ago...

/torch worked in beta and its been disabled since launch.

Hopefully they'll bring it back.

Your character used to pull out a torch that would project light around you, there is achievements for illuminating the caves with /torch.

Also there is magelight in the Mage Guild skill line.

I didn't know that actually! I was completely ambivalent about the game until I'd tried it myself so I never bothered keeping up to date on any information that was floating around. I can't argue with your second point except to say that maybe that's why they included the ability to use add-ons with the game, to make up for the functionality they (you say) removed? All I can say is that as an MMO player of 15 years, I don't miss them.

He's doing his usual twisting words bull. ZOS left the API open to see what could be achieved, they never intended to allow things like minimaps.

Just don't feed the trolls. Newbie has been warned already, if he carries on being a troll and creating arguments, just report him.

I'm sick of people just not allowing others to actually enjoy the game because they don't like it.

At the root here it's just personal preference which is why these arguments seem to go round and round. Just because you like (or don't like) certain design decisions it doesn't make a game good or bad it just means you either like or don't like it!

Basically you can:

a) enjoy playing it as-is
b) Download some addons like minimap or buff icons to make the UI fit your own playstyle better
c) Play something else

This is exactly it.

Just let the people who enjoy it in peace.

We aren't jumping into your threads screaming about rocket houses, toilet humour, childish graphics, f2p aspects and so on. So give us the same respect.

I am sick of you with your stupid defence of this game. Anybody who says anything bad about it you jump on them straight away and accuse them of trolling or misinformation.

But it was misinformation, as I explained.

Just because a person doesn't like to play the way you do and wants other things in the game doesn't make it wrong.

Pretty certain I have never claimed or said that. The difference is the people who don't like the game are sticking around and creating arguments by trying to force their opinions on others. Most if not all know newbie doesn't like this game, so why is he sticking around and causing trouble?

And again it would have been very easy for Zenimax to implement a system where you can turn off and on things in the UI you don't like.

If you could toggle certain features on and off it would create an uneven experience. Tombstone doesn't like floating names so would turn them off but you might like them on and in pvp as explained it provides an unfair advantage, same with cast bars, seeing buffs and so on.

I am enjoying the game at the moment too but I have faults with it, things I don't like and things I do. This is a forum and I am entitled to share my thoughts good or bad.

I never said you wasn't, I'm just sick of coming to this thread and reading the same **** from the same people who either don't play or hate the game and just stick around to create trouble. You cant discuss anything without someone just being a troll and derailing the discussion because only one mmo can exist at one.

The best thing about it is this place is one of the most negative forums I have ever read, it's almost suicidal at times to read people talk complete crap and ruin a games reputation because they didn't like it. Thief, ESO are 2 examples of people causing trouble which effected public opinion and didn't represent the majority.

I'll happily leave this thread and leave you miserable ****s to do a giant circle jerk.

When did this finish early access? Roughly?

Having a complete brain fart at the mo.

I think I get what your saying. Game was released on 4th a Friday and they only had 2 days of that week to sell copies, so in 2 days they sold that many at retail stores.

:D

Edit

Actually that is 1 day of sales, as it was week ending 5th. Hahahahaha

Just a quick one guys. I use nothing but heavy Armour, and it's currently saying in the Character screen that my Armour is overcharged and it will be tougher to train.

I was just wondering if there is a way to prevent this except for the obvious, which would be to change my Armour lol. thanks in advance.

You can remove some skills, but replacing armour is best
It's purpose is to stop you from stacking stupid amounts of armour. Just replace your belt and gloves with light armour to get the light armour passives.

Ban waves for the dupers. :)

Official response:

Hi folks,

We're trying to get the word out about the action we took today, in regards to this issue. Here's what we've posted in a few other threads:

Yesterday, we identified an item duping bug in ESO that some players chose to exploit. We acted quickly, and have since fixed the issue. We have banned the game account(s) for those who abused the exploit.

We want to thank everyone who reported this issue to us. In the future, should you identify what you think could be an exploitable bug, please send it to us in-game via /help or in our help center: https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/ask

Turns out this is a different dupe bug to the one that was in beta. The beta one was a lag related issue, where if you lagged out your client you could dupe some how. This dupe is using an Auto Clicker to click....fast? God knows how it works!
