*** Official Elder Scrolls MMO Thread ***

Skyrim combat is much better than 'traditional' MMO combat at least, like WoW or 4Story. If you could even call that combat, more like an animation soundboard.
 
I can't believe that is near max settings...
No friken way man...:eek:

Looks like something out of everquest or something and the UI looks so stupid and the "combat" looks bleh nothing at all happening, going to wait but for now this can completely killed any interest I had in the game...
 
Whilst I am not expecting much from this game, I don't feel like that video is particularly representative of the final product? Not saying it will be much better mind :p

Erm... I'm talking about the fact he is level 1 *facepalm*

Graphics look fine to me, art style is clearly Elder Scrolls and it is an MMO.... Designed to have large numbers of particle effects and characters on screen at once. If you want the latest dof filters or reflections go and play Battlefield *shudder*

It looks like everquest....
Erm...GW2 did graphics fine and it beautiful and its a MMO?
MMO's don't need battlefield style effects etc, it just needs a great art style, which this game DOES NOT have looking at the video, it looks like a generic cheapo MMO from years ago.
Or do the developers want this game to run on calculators or something?

I really hope this is just beta textures etc (like the original GW did in its beta to get the kinks out) and the proper textures will be added later in the beta stages.

Here are some gw beta screens for comparison before they re-textured everything (they got a new art guy I think)

No need to feel silly.
SWTOR,LOTRO graphics look a lot better than that video. Graphics dont bother me, but it was quite a suprise to see the screenshots look so differently to the video.

The facepalm was aimed in your direction. If you really think the game looks worse than the heavily stylized Swtor or the now 6 years old Lotro then you're crazy.

In what way? it looks like everquest or some other similar dated MMO from years ago.
I expected something different from a MMO of 2013 judging from the "screenshots" which now seem to just be fake images to make it look better than it is, I expected skyrim like graphics (not as good as skyrim ofc, it needs to make sacrifices because its a MMO) but its gone way past that....

The face palm aimed in my direction, now that is a bit silly. Im sorry but i play swtor and used to play LOTRO and have them at max settings they still look better graphics than what i saw in that video. If the the game looked like it does in the screenshots, then yeah it would pee all over the MMOs in the graphics department.Crazy man.

Go to Google and type Elder Scrolls Online Leaked. Click on the image search. You'll see hundreds of absolutely stunning images, all classified as TESO screenshots. In the mix, is one crappy screenshot....which happens to be a real image of the game from the video.

Judging from the video footage, they have deliberately made screenshots that are way better than the in-game graphics to make it look better.
Which seriously puts my doubt in the entire game now and I will not be pre-ordering unless something happens.
