In what way?

You do realise you don't have to buy the collector's edition right? Console prices are at the same price as any other game, and the PC too.

I'm still waiting on a reply from Amazon if they're getting the Imperial Edition in at all. Says it'll take them 2 days to get back to me. >_>;

And I'm glad that it's sub-based, f2p games are **** buy-to-win models that are ultimately only liked by peasant gamers. A sub-game going f2p is it's deathcry and it's typically a result of the game being **** not the sub-model itself. Anyone who says otherwise is an ignorant fool who clearly wants the game, but doesn't want to pay for it.

Retard alert!

I have no problem with sub based games. I just wont pay £50 and a sub for a game thats as bad as this.

I still recall LOTRo when it launched.
You could buy into beta for £1.50 and get the game a few days early.
You could buy a founders edition, which removed the monthy subs completely, for I think £99, might have been less in the initial launch.
The games major updates have cost £20 to £30, and some could be bought with f2p points, which as a founder, I get 500 of free per month anyway.

Figure that game has been my best purchase for the amount of actual playing time months sunk into it.
You have been playing for: 3 months 5 days 2 hours 6 minutes 54 seconds.
You have been playing for: 1 month 3 weeks 5 days 8 hours 13 minutes 22 seconds
You have been playing for: 2 weeks 6 days 15 hours 3 minutes 41 seconds

On my main three ;) no subs, great.

Yeah it wasnt particular impressive in anyway. especially with the cost to make it..Poor graphics..awful animations..boring world and the constant loading every time you go into a cave or dungeon..I like my mmo's seamless.

Because it's £50 and then a monthly sub after that. No need for debate or discussion, it's a quantifiable FACT that the price is a joke.

The collectors edition is amazing! It's a shame the game doesn't live up to what I thought it would. Maybe it has something to do with not having the same development team on it that there has been with the Elder Scrolls games.

The Molag Bal statue looks brilliant, nice and big at 12" too. It's a shame it costs so much.

GW2 got away with charging £50 because it has no sub.

most other mmo's launch at around £25-£35 and the higher end of that is still pushing it

That all? I should log on and see my times but I think ill find it depressing xD but yes I did exactly this I bought the game for £10 from asda subbed a few months the lifetime sub went on 50% sale from £150 to £75 which I purchased and I have definitely had my moneys worth and my 21k TP I currently have was all free.

It's pretty horrible. I'm a massive Elder Scrolls fan but I was really unconvinced by the beta & I'm even more by this pricing.

With the GMG code it does drops to a more reasonable price though & my wife wants to play so... we'll see.

£50 is an utterly bonkers price. That's more than I've paid for any MMO in the last 17 years at release, both subscription and non-subscription games. For that I'd expect the leading prime MMO on the market (which in itself is debatable whether ESO is or will be the leading prime MMO)

Shocking price frankly...I regularly see console games at these sorts of prices, but PC games are traditionally considerably cheaper than console games. I was already concerned for ESOs chances of success, but at that asking price, I'm even more concerned for it.

Been playing MMOs for 10 years now, This was the first time I turned the beta off after a few hours then never went back on it, It was very boring even when playing with another person. I was super hyped for it and now I can't wait for it to crash and burn so we can get it out of the way. I had to laugh at the price as well. lol
