*** Official Elder Scrolls MMO Thread ***

Was running about the first quest after starting, freed the old dude and went through the portal. It's been stuck on a loading screen for the past 10 minutes after that... lol
Guessing it's down to server load? Either that or it's just not quite managed to crash yet :D

edit - gave up with waiting. Reloaded the game and can't load anything. Will try another time. Seems to look fairly pretty so far, although want to see what it looks like outside before making a call.

I feel ya brother I had the same problem with every zone change. But even the game feels clunky. Its just skyrim with an online feature...there is not even a single element that makes me feel I am in an mmo game..No latency bar is a big no for me.

Well I will give it a try later on this weekend but I did not get my hopes high so far. I am not impressed

Yeh it's not overly inspiring me at the moment. But I'll be honest, the first 20 minutes of Oblivion and Skyrim were boring as hell too. Oblivion I gave up after 30 minutes of running around in a cave in the dark, Skyrim I persisted as I knew how deep and pretty the game was once you got up and running.
Can't see this being an MMO to drag me away from Eve Online though!

Been playing for a few hours and turned it off and uninstalled it. Combat seems totally disconnected. Your press buttons and nothing much seems to happen. You don't feel connected to your character.

The quests seem to have way to many run and speak to multiple people. The visual effects are spot on and the world itself is clearly beautiful but this is one of the first mmo's that I have tried and decided that I didn't want to play so quickly. It's very easy for me to identify what I don't like about the game and I really have no desire to load it up and play again.

There are just a load of people running around and doing the same quest it's just a conveyor belt of players doing the same quests. It's boring. I can't imagine that getting any more abilities will make me want to play.

I think I'll just stick to Wildstar which i'm desperate to try but it seems that loads of beta keys are being released for elder scrolls and a lack of keys for Wildstar. Creating supply and demand, hoping to boost sales by brute force getting as many people to try and buy it as possible by increasing the exposure. Whereas Wildstar is keeping the beta more exclusive, creating more interest and hype.

If anyone disagrees with me then it's perfectly ok, I just won't be playing it. I hope that some people want to stick with this, because I hate to see a new game fall to early on and it's not want the mmo genre needs right now.

Server is down for maintenance due to the zone changing issue. Just finished checking out the character creation, hit go and computer says no.

Just found the same thing when I tried to log in. Was playing from 3pm earlier no problems. Eventually hit a zoning brick wall & gave up..

Ah it's back up now. I'm now queuing though.

Aaaand the queue time is going up and up and up... :(

I just patched it from the last beta and it started at a 14 min queue, went and did some stuff around the house, come back and it had rose to 22 mins.

Judging by the posts i'm not expecting many improvements over the last stress test anyway. This one wont be on my shopping list.

mine went from 12, to 20 and then let me in on 22...
Enjoying it so far though, combat does need to be a bit more fluid as mentioned though. The one thing ****ing me off is having to stop to loot everything every 2s, completely ruins the flow.
