Thanks m8, all check in 1hr when am back at home
Anyone got an issue where the launcher just sits there when you click on Play?
My missus and I both have betas and are going to give it another go this weekend. Mine loads up perfectly fine, I click play, then several seconds later I am taken to the login screen. However my missus (identical machine (though not the same one obviously)) , she clicks on Play and hers just sits there on the launcher, never goes on to the login screen.
Anyone encountered that?
First thing to remember is the game will be the same since you last played it. All the important updates wont be playable this weekend.
Now the issues with the launcher, has she tried repairing it?
Have you tried cutting the 'The Elder Scrolls Online' core folder out of the directory, uninstalling the game, loading the launcher and copying over 'The Elder Scrolls Online' core folder back over?
Yeah thats ok, she didnt see it last time, so its a chance for her to try it first hand this time around.
Yup, tried repairing it, still doesnt progress when she clicks play. Also tried bypassing the launcher altogether and running the eso.exe directly from the game client folder, just hangs. (on my machine it works fine with both those methods)
Tried deleting her files and copying my ones over across the network, still doesnt work for her. All rather baffling. At this stage, the only thing I can think of left to try is for her to delete everything and re-download it again (though I'd have thought copying my "working" files over is much the same)
Obvious questions here:
All drivers up to date?
Any anti virus running?
Tried running as admin?
Tried running under different compatibility modes?
Running a VPN/Proxy?
Find a file in the Launcher folder called 'launcher.settings' open with Notepad and look for a line "zosLastError":"Error 104 - DownloadError_NotEnoughSpace - Not enough disk space, please clear up 30GB and try again" like this. This is my one, see if that might help shed some light.
Check the Errors & Log folder in My Documents?
Delete the Elder Scrolls Online folder in My Documents?
Drivers, antivirus, login etc, are all identical to my machine. They are two exact clone machines. Tried deleting the folder in my docs and replacing. No dice.
Have deleted all trace of it on her machine now and redownloading, see if that works
