I can't break 1:19.xxx :p Every time I feel like I'm on for a good time I lose the back end :D No assists is hard.

I guess my Pirelli tyres could be the problem hahahaha :D

Nor can I. I'm mainly playing in cockpit though. T-cam is quite off putting with the sense of speed and misjudging things. I'll upload a video later. I know where I'm going wrong but I'm pushing too hard and mess up my braking, ending with a ton of understeer. Thats even with all the brake bias at the rear, full chassis weight at the front.

Plus I hate how there's no oversteer in the handling. It's always felt awful compared to rFactor and Ferrari Virtual Academy. It's a fun game though.

Gave it a quick try in T-Cam last night.

Your driving is so smooth and precise, I guess that's down to using a wheel. you take the first corner in 2nd, I do it in 4th although you could have a long gear ratio so that may be the reason. Your whole lap looked tidy with only a few bits of understeer.

I'll wait for mercyless to post his secrets :p

I have just started playing this for the first time in ages. Also for the first time with a force feedback wheel.

Managed a 1:20.9. I'll see if I can get into the teens then take a screen shot. Hopefully this time isn't too bad for a noob.

Altered my gear ratio.

Then,

1:18.627 - T-cam - G25 - No Assists.

The gear ratios is probably why I can't break the 1:19's ... I'm going to have a play around tomorrow and see what happens.

Welcome Pants :) 1:20's is good if you are having to get used to the game and a wheel. Wheel users are generally a second faster than joypad users so once your up to speed you'll be flying past most of us (me) in no time :)

From your video on the previous page, you want to be changing gears a bit earlier and not making the engine scream by hitting the rev limiter. That'll actually slow you down. You've got a better time now so maybe you already improved that.

Had to put the TC back on because I just couldn't handle the constant spinning on the last corner, it was more frustrating than fun. The cockpit cam is from the 2011 overhaul mod which you can find in the official F1 2010 thread, the drivers head moves when you turn, it just feels great to drive it like that, I think that's the reason I set a much improved time.

Here's how I drive. Although I rage quit after running wide twice at turn 7 you get the idea :p

I never noticed just how quickly I down-shift before I watched this. Pretty interesting to see just how erratic I am sometimes lol

I gear the same as you going by your vid, though i lift very slightly on fast right hander. last corner is where i lost time often, very hard to get right without spinning.
Running 1/1 chasing my mac ghost :)

:D I think I'll call it a day on this one. I'm really really happy with this time considering I was struggling at the start of the week. Only 0.002 away from mercyless* ;)
