*****Official Fable 3 Thread*****

See I enjoyed playing fable 2 but by the sounds of it fable 3 is really poor, is it worth waiting a couple of months until its really cheap i.e. under £10 (or until it becomes a classic) or would you suggest just staying well clear of it?

I would rent it tbh.

I dont know whether its because i have not played Fable 2 in a while, or because im playing it through on a projector, but i am really, really enjoying Fable 3 so far. I can kinda see where people are coming from, but its no where near the let down lots of people are calling it.

My 2 Cents.

It was a decent game in my opinion but nothing special. The story line was fairly good and the end game stuff with the choices were a nice touch.

It is certainly worth a play through.

I have actually posted before on this however after a second play through I feel I must adjust my opinion.

Story - OK

Everything else? Aggressively average, there is not a single thing I can say that was either new or interesting, the "no UI" thing got boring after the first 5 minutes because all it changed was HOW your time was wasted, the "choices" you make are so stupidly exaggerated that you simply can't relate to them or are not set up so you feel no emotional connection.

What annoyed me most was the "promises" you make throughout the game, you are given no choices in these things, no possible way of avoiding them and then at the end the game says "OK, so now if you need to decide to keep them or not", why didn't I get a choice when I was making the bloody things?

The game then has the utter cheek to say that if you chose to keep said promises you have to spend hours of your time grinding the money you gave up in doing so or you get the bad ending, that's not a choice, it's a bloody threat. Not the mention the choices you are given when deciding to keep or break your promises, it's so bloody 2 dimensional it's almost sad, ass hole or paragon of the people.

The complete removal of the expression wheel and replacing it with a "push button to be nice" or "push button to be a dick" made social interaction even less interesting than it was before.

All in all, most I've ever been disappointed by a game and if there is a sequel I will not be buying it new, let alone the collectors edition.

Oh what do you know, I can say one thing was great, the collectors edition pack is awesome.
