*****Official Fable 3 Thread*****

Is there any point in completing the game? I bought Fable 3 because I enjoyed Fable 2 and thought the idea of becoming king and ruling the kingdom was a good reward for completing a game... what a mug I have been. Completed in minimal time, and being King is a pointless marketing tool. Peter Molyneux should retire in shame for the ****** promises made. It there ANYTHING worth doing once the game is completed?

HMMMMM....

Completed the main story twice now, the first time i felt very spoon fed all the way through, sort of did the main quest because everything felt linear for me to do so.

Second time through, taking my time a lot more, checking every little side path and doing every quest available and im enjoying it a lot more this way, though without specifically thinking to do so i wouldn't have thought to play it this way, so far only 4 silver keys and 2 gnomes to go :p lol done all the gold doors and all the auroun flowers, own every property in the game, sitting pretty on a nice 4-5 million gold and barely any quests left.

Fable two was a MUCH longer and wider game, far harder to get gold and much easier to die. I really hate the way so many games are moving towards this "cool down" health style, it's utter crap!

Imagine if Zelda had a cool down health style... would be awful!

stupid thing with fable 3 is the combination of a cool down health system and being able to just repeatedly roll to dodge means the second you get in to trouble you just roll for ages until it's healed and then start attacking again........at least that's what i'd do if i ever came near to death, but it seems the game is too easy for that to ever be an issue any way!!!

Roll to dodge has been a 'feature' since the original Fable.

Don't think he was complaining about the dodge, but the face your health regenerates whilst doing so. Unlike F1&2 you would get beat down, sure you could dodge. But you would still have cack all health left.

Exactly this^ :)

Question. (may contain spoilers too)

If you get married do you share the money you have with the other person or is that part of becoming business partners as it is something that confused me and my mate last night.

We got married and had the kid for the achievements and noticed that when he did certain things it took all of my money and seemed to put it on to his account. We ended up going back to his sanctuary where he gifted me all the money he had as he has already finished and has loads in the Treasurey. Once I had the money despite him having apparently 0 when he bought an item if took it out of my money is this correct? It was just confusing as depending what he was doing (he was host too) it was taking money away from me and seemed to be combining it.

Also because we are married and he has over 6.5mil in the treasurey it say on my loading screen that the predicted civy deaths is 0 does this mean when I get to that point of the game the good thing will occur or was that just reflecting his stats?

I killed 6,500,000 million because I entered 'end game' without realising and didn't put my money into the treasury (I was trying to get the key at the top of my treasury).

Albion was a very quiet place after that.

What happens after the end? Are their quests that are not around during main story? Because I have been doing every fetch and side quest possible on my new playthrough. I deleted my other save, as like everyone else, I had no idea about money. So this playthrough I am doing everything possible to make as much money.

So, if I do everything now, will there be new stuff after the end of the story? Or will it be a case of search and find treasures and stuff?

You get some new ones but not many. Money is no use to you once you complete it anyway.

Just completed this and have to say I felt dissapointed.

I enjoyed the previous 2 Fable games, bit this one felt very 'over-streamlined'/over-simplified. Fable has always been about making the RPG more accessible, but I think Fable 3 really has gone too far. A lot of the choice and freedom had been toned away, to the point you can't even do various things anymore unless the game prompts you too (expressions etc), and the choices at the end whilst being kind where laughably overtly good and overtly bad, not to mention not really that satisfying. The story also wasn't much to write home about in the scheme of things, and there was some shocking lack of continuity (Reaver as one example... both in comparison to Fable 2 and also within the game.)
Also extremely easy, I got the no knock-out achievement first playthrough, and I was playing this whilst sick so not exactly at the best point of my concentration cycle.

Then on top of that the frame rate was extremely poor (even after the patch), the blur effect should simply have had an option to be turned off ala Mass Effect. I could go on.

Not a bad game per se...but I was expecting a lot more, the game has been simplified too much, and has far too many flaws. The games main saving grace was the voice acting which was once again pretty decent, and the humour if you liked the cheesy style.

If you loved Fable 2 you will hate Fable 3 its a pile of steaming crap compared to Fable 2.......

Molyneux once again promises the world and delivers nothing more than a crap adventure game.

See I enjoyed playing fable 2 but by the sounds of it fable 3 is really poor, is it worth waiting a couple of months until its really cheap i.e. under £10 (or until it becomes a classic) or would you suggest just staying well clear of it?
