*****Official Fable 3 Thread*****

Piracy. Obviously OcUK doesn't want to condone it.

Post a pick to prove you have the game and you are ok to talk about it.

Simples.

Never said I had it, I said it was shipped, probably along with most of the other pre-orders which we will get on friday, I fail to see how any rules have been broken?

I'm pretty sure Maccy wasn't talking to you, seeing as agnes preceeded to edit one of his posts and say he will post a pic of his copy.

I've got the Collectors Edition on it's way to me, really looking forward to the game, really interested in what happens during the second part of the game after they have been so secretive about it.

Also can't wait to meet Ben Kingsley's character.

You said 'why we can't' so I stated why you can't, seeing as it was just after maccy giving Agnes a warning isn't it obvious what my reply was about? and stick your roll eyes up your jacksy.

Obviously I didnt see the post before it was edited that was being referred to, very mature have a gold star!

WTF? I clearly dont understand we cant talk about games in the post on offical threads till release day? We best close this thread then

Are you serious? Of course you can talk about games, the post I deleted was by a user (I won't name names) talking about current gameplay and what they were experiencing. This game has not been released yet so not only is it against forum rules, but it's unfair on other users.

After the fails that were Mafia II and Fallout: New Vegas on the PC, I'm reluctant to pre-order this title so I'll wait for post release reviews.

Fable II I thought was rather good, but just far too easy and annoying once your character became too famous, as I hated being mobbed all the time. Oh and I lost my sodding wife :)

As I recall, the rule was that you could talk about games early, if you can prove you have a legit copy. So, I can talk about it all I want as I have it legally (and posted a picture in the first page), but others can't unless they can also prove they have a full, legal copy. Is that still the correct ruling?

Edit: I'm nearly finished with the main story, and I have to say it's very enjoyable so far. Some of the decisions you have to make in the latter half of the game really are challenging as well. It's not a case of right or wrong, good or bad, but some really moral grey areas that will make people love or hate you, but at the potential cost of their lives. Fun stuff! :)

Perhaps it's a grey area, certainly with TV shows and films there isn't to be any discussion about the actual episode/content until it's been aired in the UK.

I will discuss this with other forum Dons and let you chaps know :)

Well, as I explained it, that was the ruling when I was a Don. Some people, like myself as a reviewer, legitimately get games early, and can prove it, just as I did. If proof is provided, I don't see why we can't talk about the game early. Besides, there are several games companies out there who deliver pre-order games a couple of days early. I don't see why it's a problem a couple of days before release really. Yes, if it's a week early, only talk about it if you can provide proof, but a day or two before official release should be fine for everyone, in my humble opinion of course :)

I also have come into a new 'part time' role (don't get paid for it :() as a volunteer for reviewing for a local indie shop.

I will take a picture if needed. Forgot last night as I just jumped straight into game. But yea, it's defo a grey area and I think anything further than a week before release is a little unfair talking about the gameplay, but a week before is not... no one is moaning, if anything. People want to know!

Anyways, I will have my mini review up on my site soon so I will post on here and those that want to read can 'trust' me and ask for link via email.

ags

edit: if anyone is good on website building, let me know! Need a hand (or even someone to write one!) for my reviews as the shop owner won't invest in someone. I have 3 reviews written so far and no way of publishing them.
