**** Official Fallout 4 Thread ****

Yeah, I always say this, but Skyrim (modded), technically speaking is far from the best looking game. However once you add all sorts of immersion mods, textures, ENBs etc, it quickly becomes the best looking and atmospheric by miles IMO. Crysis for example is technically very good, but it's cartoony and gets old fast.

OOTB, F4 is miles better than Skyrim. After seeing how beautiful Skyrim can be, I'm really excited for F4 modding to properly take off..

Maybe i should try a modded Skyrim, just wish there was just one big mod patch that made it look great, instead of installing 100's of different mods.

Yeah I know, it's such a faff, but it is worth it once done!

I experienced my first Rad Storm last night. I missed much of it as I was at the bottom of a quarry, but my God those sounds!

Which armour mod do people recommend? I want one that will allow me to wear arms/legs/chest etc over suits etc. There are a few that do it so which is the best?

Does wearing armor over suits not make the suits OP as hell? You can upgrade their stats with ballistic weave etc. Armor items on top of that would make you quite TUFF.

The sounds your on about, is that in normal game or a mod to make them better ?

I haven't got any mods that affect radstorms.

EDIT: Apparently I do. The only audio mod I've installed is louder rain and thunderstorms, so it must have affected RadStorms also.

This video has the creepy sound I was on about, just after the flashes:

Can wear armour over some garments already. I have a baseball suit with combat armour over the top. :)

Yeah, some would be a little overpowered I think.

Try to restrict myself to mods that don't imbalance things. (Though I do have the 10,000 weight limit mod.....)

True, though being limited to 2gb of video memory isn't ideal either. Now, you should have ample. :)

Yeah exactly. I always knew it was a problem with big, modded games, but you don't appreciate just how bad it was, or better it now is, until you get such a beast of a card. It's cost me a third of a month's total salary, but it's a worthy investment. Even though I'll never get back what I paid, I should be sorted PC wise for a good few years now :D

Well, there's always room for more SSD storage :D

Thought you'd all be chatting about the Patch. Well I got one anyway 213Mb. Can't find any notes though

EDIT:
Beta update 1.2.37

General memory and stability improvements
Performance improvements inside the Corvega Assembly Plant
Fixed issue with player becoming stuck in terminals

Just tried a few terminals and it worked for me :D
SLI perf is better BUT gpu usage still drops like a stone in some parts of the map. Lets hope they are going to improve that.
