**** Official Fallout 4 Thread ****

I stumbled across a very eastern area settlement with a workbench, but it says I cannot use this workbench yet as I haven't made a settlement there yet. Trouble is Preston won't give me a mission, he just loops helping out existing settlements. Do I have to progress the story more to unlock it?

Some of mine wouldn't unlock until later in the story. Preston is bugged for me now though, so after that one I don't think I will be unlocking anymore :(

Has the PC version had any patches yet? I ask because I'm getting some very odd graphical glitches! I've recently updated my Radeon drivers as well - could that be behind it?

Also been using RivaTuner and AfterBurner since launch because of the terminal bug. Gameplay has been fine for me apart from that :(

one is reserved for a railroad missionm

So yeah, my game is really struggling to keep 60FPS now, even with my 980Ti. Gutted, but then it's my own fault for having everything on max with lots of lighting and shadow mods. I get anywhere from 35-60 FPS in sanctuary now, as I have 16 generators powering lots of lights. I have about 40 light boxes in my tree house bar, and 3 triple story buildings and a greenhouse :D

went back and retooled some more settlements

drive in is much better now

cant keep the people happy in greentop nursery for some reason, all of my other settlements are 80 or above , but greentop hovers between 60 and 70 and never seems steady?

love the lighthouse settlement, its a good defensive site, almost as good as croup manor

I even put spot lights in the top of the lighthouse and it really shines out at night!

jamaica inn is my newest site that I just happened to stumble upon doing a side mission

i have been at this for well over 110 hours now and have not yet done the glowing sea story mission..I just build and scavenge!

Perhaps I have missed them or have yet to find them, but there doesn't seem to be many deep, morally ambiguous quests this time around (with the exception of some of the main quests in the latter part of the game)

I remember playing through F3 and NV and finding my quest log full with tasks that gave me the option to commit some rather evil acts. For example, becoming a slaver, destroying a rocket full of ghouls, assisting (or not) a rogue android...The list goes on. The game overall, although very enjoyable, just doesn't seem as deep as it predecessors.

Yup that was my initial thought and still is. I shouldn't compare them, I know, but doesn't have the depth of F3 or Skyrim etc.

100% agree with this as well... I am still loving the game but it hurts that it could have been so much more, and so easily as well...

My latest favourite Bethesda classic is the good old problem of trying to program so many interactions etc. So you complete a quest (no spoilers as this is a made up example), and a character goes:

"You saved my life, thanks so much here's some caps but I don't think I can ever truly repay you"

You immediately try to talk to the person again in case there are new dialogue options (lol yeah right)... and they say

"Oh hello, haven't seen any vault dwellers around here before"

Do the new Radeon Crimson drivers conflict at all with the in-game settings? I just noticed they appear to have a profile for the game under one of the menus

This is my main concern:

Best I can do in a screenie but it looks a lot worst during movement and it almost becomes unplayable when sprinting

Any ideas?

I had a really bad idea, would it work?

At present I have 11 base Charisma (waited until I had 10 to get the bobblehead). I've got Agatha's dress for an extra 3, a hat +1 and some glasses +1. Total = 16

If I take the following:
Beer +1
Bobrovs Moonshine +1
Dirty Wastelander +1
Gwinnett Ale +1
Gwinnett Brew +1
Gwinnett lager +1
Gwinnett pale +1
Gwinnett pilsner +1
Gwinnett stout +1
Day Tripper +3
Grape Mentats +5
X-cell +2

Would these stack to give me an additional 19 for a total of 35? I was even thinking of storing a beer and all the Gwinnett drinks in Buddy for an additional 7. That way you could get 45+ into one settlement?

Or am I being mad? :D
