Man of Honour
Was starting to enjoy it for a few hours yesterday, then the server disconnected and when I logged back in all of my fusion cores had disappeared from my Power Armor frame.....ffs!
Yeah, that's a thing now. An unannouced change in the first patch, maybe. You can't rely on storing fusion cores on a frame now. I think you should be able to because of course power armour would be designed with fusion core storage given how quickly they would be depleted in a war.
I've allocated about 100 of my 600 stash space to fusion cores. I have about 20 now. When I get above about 30, I'll stop collecting them for a while. I also carry 4-8 with me, usually. They're not particularly rare in my experience, even with server hoppers harvesting them. Maybe that's down to the time I tend to play being a slack time for players in the USA.
[..] I've not had the bottle to stand in a blast zone before a nuke lands . You take enough radiation in the area after the nuke has landed, so i can't imagine a good outcome.
In fact i've seen enough high-level players stand just outside the zone before it lands to assume you'll probably just get killed anyway.
It's an instakill right up to the edge of the blast zone. There's a visible blast wave that travels very rapidly from the detonation point and when that hits you it's fatal regardless of your level and what armour you have on. Which is realistic. What's not realistic is that the blast wave just disappears at the edge of the blast zone, but of course that's necessary for gameplay purposes.
Incidentally, nuking the prime fissure is an optional objective for the main quest. To complete the main quest, you just need to launch a nuke at any target. It's nuking the prime fissure that carries the recommendation of 8+ players because that produces a far worse result than nuking anywhere else. What comes out is so extreme that the presence of 3 or 4 L50 scorchbeasts is a trivial distraction during it. There are bloatflies so powerful that they're not trivial for a L60 player in X-01 power armour with a legendary weapon.
Stored: Addressed an exploit that could cause items in the Stored tab to become duplicated.
I'd class that as a bug, not an exploit, because it happens to many people regardless of what they do or don't do. Every time I log in I have more things in my stored tab. I was up to about 50 of each plant yesterday. I gave up on scrapping them after the first few times.
