*** Official FIFA 11 Thread ***

Has anyone started the Player/Team creation thingy ?

I pre-orderd from **** and have 'early' access to it. It doesnt seem too bad, not a patch on the old pro evo creation style.

You know im gona have to tell jake later! Im still getting it on the 360 because the majority of the folk i play with are on the 360. Might get it on ps3 if i can find it cheap though.
 
I might try and blag it at a later date when I get my 360 back that my girlfriend bought it for me and got it on the wrong platform. :D
 
I quite liked the demo though it did seem a bit slowed down gameplay wise. Played it against my brother. Makes you think about the tactics a bit more and when you finally make the break for goal it's very satisfying.
 
I hope the crowd graphics are better in the full release felt like I'd gone back 10 years with those crowd graphics.
Ping pong passing seems still the way to go if you ask me.I find on wc2010 that taking a touch can work but soon as you start playing good players using 100 aggression and 5-5 formations you have no choice but to first time pass and I think this will be the same.

I think in the past they have removed certain assets from the demo to reduce the size of it...

Thats not what I personally meant about ping pong passing - nothing wrong with first time passing, more the fact you could drill it to another player and 99% it would move between players at speed without any issue irrelevant to what you were doing with the pad. Now it feels there isnt that speed of pasing or that automatic acceptance unless its a good pass..

I found that just a standard shot works better than trying to finess it or power it in, the ball seems to move a hell of a lot more.

Anyone tried cracking a few 30 yarders with lampard? The power and the dip is class ;D

I have, I love the way the ball dips when you shoot with some players. Always something I've wanted to happen more often instead of a straight trajectory when you really leather a shot :p
 
love the demo, feels so much better, close control is a dream now, AI seems to work better and switching to a player that isnt heading the direction you want and changing his direction doesn't seem to destroy his ability to track the pace, wounder how well this will work online with players moving well out of position and unpredictable movement off the ball, hope the ai still marks as well as it does sp.

Shooting seems much improved, not as easy to corner of the box and finesse to guarantee the goal.
 
Liking the demo in terms of passing,crossing,graphics but the players are just so slow...now i dont want everyone like walcott but Walcott,Messi,Ronaldo etc should at least be able to run past a few defenders its like there walking atm hopefully this is fixed in the full game...

you might be right - this is the "best" goal ive scored so far, didnt mash/power shoot as i'd been hitting em over the bar (with Messi as well :o)
