Downloaded the demo if this the other day after playing FIFA 10 to death. I loved PES until they transitioned to the next gen consoles and I think the series has gone downhill since. I didn't think much of the FIFA games until 10 which I thought was a turning point and fealt like a real football. I loved the way you could construct beautifully flowing scoring moves.

After playing the FIFA 11 demo it seems EA have just polished the FIFA 10 engine with better player likenesses and animations, maintaining the smooth and realistic gameplay. Also after comparing this demo with the PES 2011 demo, I'll be buying FIFA for the second year in a row for the first time in over 10 years.

^^^ Doesnt work for me. Selected Amateur and still only got the 2 minutes.

Make sure you choose Beginner at the start of the demo (I wrote Amateur in my OP).

I timed it and its definitely more than 3 minutes, not sure if it's 4 mins, perhaps 3.5 mins .

FAO Playstation owners...

I recently bought, what is called the "EASport comfort pack" from the green Supermarket that starts in A and finishes in A and has a D and an S somewhere in between....

It really has improved the feel of the controller, and you can get x2 for just £15 at the moment. I can't recommend this product highly enough. they really do work (for me) and bring much added comfort and feel to the controller!! Recommended for the coming weeks ahead when you know you will be gaming longer than you should

I liked it in the PC (09) version so I'm kind of glad its a feature for FIFA11.

Its only a feature for single player thankfully...

2 things I despise is when they implement handball and diving.

Handball because its purely scripted and there is nothing I can do to stop my players from doing it. I dont want my players to cheat and therefore would expect ever case scenario to be ball to hand.

Diving: because I hate it in the real game and again, I would not want to cheat to win...

Yeah I got mine bang on time too. As above, check junk mail etc. If that fails you could try phoning them. I have phoned them on a couple of occasions and found them most helpful.

Yeah hopefully. I only noticed the highlight bit last night and mine had 3 too. One of them was a back pass to my keeper and he kicked it back with with no problem

I just bit the bullet and pre-ordered at the rainforest place which we are no longer allowed to name. I expect the supermarkets will do a midnight launch for the mid £20's again but for an extra tenner I'd rather just not have to stand in a massive queue. Last year I felt like an absolute sadact waiting in a line at midnight for a video game.

I queued in one of the supermarkets last year but almost certainly won't do it again this year. I'd rather pay extra to have it delivered and not have to go out and queue with a bunch of lads who looked half my age. It's worth the extra tenner to avoid that this year

I strolled along at 7am last year to the local Tesco, picked my copy up, got 6 pints of milk, went to the self service til and walked out again. Took all of 5 minutes.

yeah its better not to go at midnight but at 1am, by then the crowd has died down and they usually have more than enough copies to give out, unfortunately, mw2 wasnt cheap at my local 24hr place so i tryed to get it for weeks on end the day after where it was cheap and they were all sold out, so im hoping my local does it this year.

I actually deleted the demo from my PS3 due to the frustration that as soon as you start getting a good passing rhythm and start some good moves the half ends. Only 9 days to go anyway.

I'm still snoring at 7 let alone up and dressed, I'd be in no fit state to go to the supermarket at that time of the morning. I'd probably end up picking up Fifa 10 by mistake.
