*** Official FIFA 11 Thread ***

Didnt say i liked it. Just stating that you can take pirated games online. I was just correcting him!!

I didn't say that you agreed with it, you brought up piracy and I said I dislike the people who participate in it. Not only that but I think they have to be a little bit silly to risk getting their console banned if they happen to be found out, and it does happen.

On some games you may be able to, but its not worth the risk as people do often end up getting a console blacklisted as Killswitch said.

Anyway, enough about that, what is it with people derailing this thread all the time :p

I'm liking the RB & Lob pass, I'm probably over using it.

Manager mode seems to be improved so all the little bugs from last year will be gone, little clubs will be able to become huge clubs! (Wage budget can be increased with transfer budget)

Yeah sorry. Im really looking forward to trying the be a goalkeeper mode. Looks good and feels alright in the practice arena

Your absolutely right... Im starting to sound like a right idiot going on.. my apologies!!!

Back on topic:

I spoke about it before, but have any of your fella's played with analogue sprinting yet. In the control settings, if you turn analogue sprinting on, it turns the sprint trigger into a kind of accelerator. So the further you hold down the trigger the faster your player runs, but there is a little trick when playing with close controlled players like Messi... if you hold it half way and move the directional pad, he can cut in and dribble past players with speed which can be highly effcetive, has anyone else played with the function yet? the more I use it the more I think it will be a nice tool in my arsenal!!!

I have a feeling that fifa this year wont be any low price anywhere surely they realise people will buy it no matter the price by now ?

I'm sure one of the supermarkets will have it up cheap, usually between £25-£30 so I'm gonna do what I usually do and pick it up there on release day.

I've used it and think it's another great addition. Against the CPU it does seem very effective, but not sure how well it will work against human opponents. Hopefully it will work very well against those that hold down sprint and A to close you down all the time.

I downloaded the demo earlier and played a few Juventus-Real games just now. It appears Cristiano Ronaldo just did that to me, cutting through three players before scoring

:D

I had 10 on both formats (mainly had it on PS3 to play my brother-in-law), but I sold the PS3 one about a month ago while it was still worth more than a £1.

I actually struggle with the PS3 pad a bit though. My thumbs tend to slip off the analogue sticks in Fifa.

Tried the analogue sprint, its very effective when you're running down the wing and want to cut inside! I didn't even know about it till someone mentioned it on here. I was thinking of going to Asda/tesco/sainsburys morning of release at like 6am! Picked fifa up at Tesco for 25 at 1am with no queues last year!

I like the introduction of analogue sprint, I can't believe it hasn't been done sooner! You definitely need the trigger extenders to take advantage on the PS3 though. I really like the look of the R1 lob pass too, a firm pass option is something FIFA has been really lacking and I think it will come in very handy.

Am I right in thinking the R1 pass doesn't have any assists? Seems to just go wherever you aim which should make it harder to master and less exploitable.
