*** Official FIFA 12 Thread ***

What the hell is the deal with the install of this game? You buy the disk but still have to dl the entire game from the net? How stupid is that! Also is anyone else having framerate problems? I have a c2d at 3.2 and a 8800gtx - not the best setup i know but the performance even on low setting is terrible
 
Anyone got any tips for some1 who struggles to win on world class settings rearly struggling.

Also feel free to add me Nuttyprot.

I play ultimate team mode 4:4:1:1 formation. Full gold squad 100% Chemistry and 79 squad rating not bad but not great.

So far won the bronze online cup and got to finals of the gold cup.

Has anyone figured out the calling for the ball yet?
If i make an awesome 45degree sprint across the pitch where a nice through ball would put me onto goal, everytime i call the AI just high passes it straight to the opposition defenders?!?!?!? very annoying.

forgot to add this is career mode
 
I just started an Ultimate team game. I have no idea what it is!

I started a game and apparently i am Scunthorpe. Is it like an online Master league type thing?

Pressing Y calls for a through ball i think and A calls for a standard pass.
Could be wrong.
 
im going to pick this game up for the pc from game tomorrow. Just asking how are people finding. is it on par with the console versions

It is exactly the same apart from the sound (5.1 vs 2.1/2.0) from what I can gather. I am finding it a bit more difficult than Fifa11, it has a habit of crashing on me (might need to disable Crossfire maybe) and I can't tackle for love nor money.

Oh and no windowed mode. I used to play in a 720p window and watch dvd's the other side :(

Don't worry, you are not the only one! There is an option to turn on "legacy defending" which puts it back to the way it was. Anyway i am going to keep the new way as i think it will be good once i get used to it.

Has anyone else played around with the settings such as how much assistance you get?
I had to turn pass assistance to manual as i think it just works better if you are in complete control, when i left it on semi it was just stupid, i would press pass and teh direction and it would go nowhere near where i wanted it to go. Manual i am finding is much better.

I did have one question though, are the options changed when you go online? Is it like an option chosen by the host, or are every persons settings unique?


PS. It is the same as the console version, no need to worry about any awkwardness at all:)

You should use the latest version of Motioninjoy (http://www.motioninjoy.com/blog/motioninjoy-ver-060004-available) and combine it with the offline files of v0.60003 which I posted earlier in this thread so you aren't dependent on their website being up (it went down last week causing problems for most users because the offline wouldn't work). Then, follow these instructions which are hopefully accurate as this is what I did:

-Open up DS3 Tool
-Select Custom and click on Create
-Click on Default
-Click Save
-Click on the existing custom profile (MotioninJoy Demo Profile or some such)
-Click Delete
-Click Save and give the profile a name
-Enable the profile

If necessary - and it was for me - download the GamePad Fix tool (search via Google) and set up the controls for FIFA 11 and then copy the "buttonDadaSetup.ini from My Documents\FIFA 11 to My Documents\FIFA 12 and if you're paranoid, make it read only.

Motion sensors probably don't work as it acts like a PS2 controller but I'm not concerned with that. Analog sticks work perfectly fine - just be sure to load DS3 Tool when you restart your computer and enable your custom-made profile before you plan to play or half the buttons won't work.

You used to watch DVDs while playing Fifa at the same time?

Why on earth would you even attempt such a thing :confused:
 
i dont see the point in 'trying to make the reserves' when im automatically in the starting 11 -.-
Also i've yet to be subbed even if i play very badly lol

I hope pes is better than this as this sucks imo.
