*** Official FIFA 12 Thread ***

Anyone have any tips on attacking Last 5+ matches been stuck in my own half 90% matches i win are due to counter attacks. I like to think I have a strong defense but cant rely on counters all the time and tbh its frustrating being pinned back all the time.
 
Whats up with this?

Just played a game of Ultimate team against someone at the same level, 5 minutes a half and i lost 12-0!! He was like 5 times quicker than me and almsot every goal was a through ball where my defenders just stood there. And when i tried to swap to a player, it took ages for me to have comtrol over him.

I also tried only my second random onlien game, i was Brighton and it said it was finding a player of sinilar ability, then it pops up i'm playing against Bayern! My best player was 71 and theres is about 90

The match making sucks badly. I am on the verge of giving up now tbh I cannot get my head around attacking in this game attacking was easy in pes but fifa I suck so badly. I defend fine most of the time but the second I hit other players halfs I just cant seam to break down defenses no matter what I do. I have tried dif formations even tried custom formation (never worked seems buggy).

As for the ultimate team you encountered I have had them encounters and tbh don't believe some players are legit maybe some kind of bot. Reason for this is last night played some1 who all bronze (I am all gold) they scored 7 goals every single one from about 35 yards out. This was in the first half then in the second half I never touched the ball once literally they passed it around constantly every single pass was perfect I never got close to them, and they never missed a pass.

Edit: Going to ask around see if anyone would like to trade a PES for my FIFA one I have had enough.

I wouldn't be suprised if there was some hack involved actually, as the guy i played was scoring from long range and they were absolutely flying in.

I'm not giving up on it just yet though, as i didn't really buy it for online anyway, that is just extra to me.
 
OK this is retarded, I bought the game only to wait for the disk and then I need to install Origin and then download the whole game. Thanks a lot EA... whats the point in having a disk :'(

Lucky I have unlimited internet!

Edit - seems to be installing from cd as the transfer rate has went from 1.5meg to 4meg which is faster than my net so it just wasnt clear.

L1 and the pass button is the most valuable tool in the game, just pass your way forward and keep possession.

This is the best thing to do (its defencing i have more trouble with). Also there is an option to make your players make more runs, i'm not sure if you can use it in ll modes but i have used it in single player.

Nice one matey, with working shifts I find I'm on at all times of the day and night :) Oh and have a TS server where a few of us 'cough' mature gamers hang out.

I guess barcalona probably have the highest rating and best rated players but i always find the players in different teams vary quite wildly as to what they're best at, for example barca are probably (just guessing though) a very ground based team and probably aren't actually that good in the air, where as personally i prefer teams that have a bit of aerial prowess :)
 
Man City are quite good actually. Not got a great central midfield but Aguero, Tevez, Silva, Johnson, Toure are good players, plus Dzeko seems to be brilliant in it. They have a very quick defense as well
 
Hmmm yes no doubt about Barca very good passing aswell, Man City are getting bigger and bigger. Wt do u guys think about the Italian teams? Milan are pretty good
