Just had some good games against DirtyJester. He won all 3 of course and i had about a thousand clear cut chances and only scored 2 of them :rolleyes:

. I must have a record for most shots on target and possession without winning! lol.

I just can't get the hang of this tactical defending either.

I've just finished a season with Spurs in career mode and when I choose to continue on with them into the next season, the game begins to set up the season and proceeds to crash to desktop, with no error messages. It continues as normal if I choose another team to manage.

Any suggestions on what to do?

Could someone explain how i set up my team offline so it remains the team i take online? Cant quite work it out.

Remember that 3GB patch we were all made to download after installing the game?

Well, I re-installed last night after needing to wipe Windows 7 and I wasn't prompted to download the extra 3GB. Only now have I found out what's missing: foreign language commentary. Specifically, all foreign languages except for German - I usually have Italian commentary on if not listening to music but I don't have the option and I can't actually see an option to download the 3GB update (not that I want all of it) either.

Have you figured this out ?

I don't have enough time to setup my team before the bloody match starts. Grrrrrr

Welcome to fifa 2010 my friend. You have the formation bug.

Its caused by using a custom formation in your career. At some point you tweaked that custom formation from the main menu, and you overwrote the career formation with your new formation. This causes the glitch.

The solution is to either select your career and put your formation on default, then save and exit career. Then you can overwrite any of the custom formations with your new creations.

When I play semipro its so boring as its so easy. I win games 8-0 on 5min half etc...

When I play pro its so boring because I cant make any chances. THE computer is just solid to get passed. I can win games even once 4-0, but often 1-0 or I draw or get beat many 0-0 1-1 etc...overall though the games are frustarting and not fun to play, fidning space is so hard.

I have not tried world class+

semipro to easy, pro to frustrating

Play about with your settings for making runs and tweak some of the settings for passing etc in the options, i can't remember exactly where it is but they are somewhere. Pro with tweaks is the most fun, i have found

World Class is working out fine for me. You do need to work hard to get chances but it's more rewarding than just pumping through balls forward for your strikers to latch on to like you can on easier settings.

What settings are you using your passing, shooting etc? If all on assisted, maybe try switching to semi or manual and dropping the skill level back to semi-pro until you get used to it?

You can also play around with the Player/CPU sliders to adjust passing accuracy, run frequency etc.

semi for most things, assisted when no choice for semi

Best formation depends on what players you have and will vary from team to team.

This has to be the biggest pile of steaming dog **** I have ever played!!!!!! GGRRRR I want my money back EA!!!!!!!

What a load of tosh - no speed, computer always seems to have a fortified defence, yet always easily gets past mine. Almost as if I am playing against twice as many players.

Can't get any rythm going with my passes, they always seem to be intercepted. None of the passes ever seem to be made with any speed, they always seem to crawl across the pitch.

Attacking against the computer is a load of tripe (Pro) as it always seems to know your next move and always seems to have an extra man in defence.

I think so far I have lost 5 games, drawn 3 and won 3. 2 of my wins were 1-0 and it was just a nightmare to score.

I find defending just a total joke too. The new tackling system is complete garbage, very unpredictable, all you seem to be able to do is jockey and pray that you manage to nick the ball every once in a while.

Shall I go on? I can honestly say it's the worst FIFA game I have played in a very long time. The difference from FIFA 11 to FIFA 12 is ridiculous.

Am I doing something very wrong? I am very close to lobbing it into the bin and going back to FIFA 11 - at least I had some fun playing it :rolleyes:

The new defending system is good imo, but if you are playing against someone who is not using it, you have no chance!

The passing is by far the worst thing about the game though, far too many misplaced passes that go nowhere near where you want.

My biggest problem is defensive heading, i always conced goals because a defender just heads it straight up or misses it. Maybe i just need practice.

Don't blame the game for you being crap at it. If you are struggling like that on Professional level you really need more practice.

Fifa 12 is streets ahead of 11.

Sounds like your after a casual pick up and play footy game. try fifa street football games
