*** Official FIFA 12 Thread ***

I like it, the collision engine works well, bumping into people all over the place, your leg get taken out after a cross if the defender is close, the new jossle system is good too, you can pull players back and stuff

Still feel that crossing is poor and you rarely get to hit the man in space.
Its an improvement on 11 for me, just not sure if its a big enough one to justify buying it

Yeah thats what it seems like from some videos to me.. I thought they would have changed it, every team seems to be able to knock the ball to feet, first time without any problems.

Pass, pass, pass, pass, through ball.. shoot and its either goal, save and then backup the field for the other player to do the same. Its a shame because FIFA probably could play a better game BUT playing any other way does not reward the player, so its easier to just do the same thing over and over again.

See i think it would be better if you had to turn the assistance on

People pick it up out the box and don't like it, they don't look into the settings they just turn the game off, its never explained well in any of the tutorials either

Couldn't see any real difference with the new impact engine.

Highest rendering quality and 4x msaa. It seems to be capped at 60fps ?

I am really enjoying the demo. I was a bit worried when i sold my ps3 fifa wouldnt be as good but as i said really enjoying it :) Just wish it was a bit harder

The graphcis arent anything specail but you can get files to improve things usally. But there a lot better and sharper then the console counterparts imo.

Gameplay wise theres small improvements from last years, i think defending is better now its not just a case of holding buttons like last years.

Really looking forward to playing clubs i will be making my own club when the game is out, if anyones intrested in joining. I ran my own club on ps3 and it was on of the top clubs in uk and the world.

Going to try the demo extender now and hopefully will make the ai better.

From previous versions, hasn't the demo usually been the final build with regard to the graphics and gameplay.

Can't get my 120hz monitor to run at 120hz with this.

Why the concern ?

This years pc version is allegedly the same as the 360 and ps3 gameplay wise and if you have a decent pc there is the bonus with better graphics than the console version.

Personally, PES and FIFA have zero longevity due to the a.i.

After a few games i'm bored with it already :(

I think it plays better than Fifa11 PC. The physics new physics engine is welcome as the players seem a lot more responsive to the ball being around them. Namely they catch the ball out of the air and they stretch for it better. I also seem to be able to have players spinning normal passes. Jack Wilshire for example banana'd a lovely pass, not a through ball, to Nasri.

pes IS blooming awsome. and if fifa 12 is same as 11 then thats crap and pales compares to PES 12. their is a new dmeo fo PES 12 coming tomorrow

I wasn't impressed by it. Maybe it was just because it was the first build but it felt like everything was moving through treacle. The ball included.

I'd be interested in joining. I love Online Team Play and Be A Pro.
 
Had a little play, the shame is it doesnt run as good at 1920x1200 as it does windowed at 1920x1080, obviously due to it being a port but to get it running 100% smoothly, if you have a 1200p monitor you will have to drop to 1920x1080 to get it running without the sort of treacle effect which has been mentioned.

Doing that and it makes it a much more console like experience, but these demo's never really impress me as I never play single player, the ai is always terrible.

I will download the console version too before deciding which to go for.
