I'm constantly amused with this game 
- just played a FUT Birthday friendly against a guy who had a team full of Heroes and Icons, proceeded to draw 3-3 with him after extra time with me having had 27 shots and him having had 4.
I proceeded to lose on penalties (I seem to have circa 70% of my penalties saved for some reason!?!) but I'm not too fussed because the game still counts towards my objective - anyway, he then sends a message saying "av dat" (which I presume translates to "have that!!" or similar?) - so he's basically proud of being rubbish and yet still managing to win an extremely one-sided game!
To be fair to him (or her!) I bet he couldn't believe he won either!

I had the same yesterday. It was 0-0 AET, I had 9 shots and my opponent had 0 and I lost on penalties. No annoying at all.I'm constantly amused with this game

I've not long since managed to buy World Cup Hero Smolarek and have to say I'm liking how he plays! (I typically play with one striker and wingers!)
Mind you..... Smolarek at LW with Shearer at ST might be worth a punt!

Frustrating evening yesterday, was trying to qualify to FUT Champs Finals so I could finish one of the objectives, had 18pts after 9 matches, and then I lost connection during the first half of the final game. You then get kicked all the way back down to Rivals, I just didn't have enough hours to grind all the way through Rivals, then FUT champs qualifiers, and then the 20 FC Finals matches again (I guess that would've been like 8hrs+ total or something). I had 9 finals wins from the previous weekend which makes it worse, even 1 more win from 20 finals matches would've unlocked something for hitting 10 wins. I didn't really get a chance to finish the qualifiers sooner due to being away during the week and then working on other objectives like Birthday Cup.
Finding the FUT Birthday Cup surprisingly challenging, I thought I'd find it easier than most friendlies due the restrictions meaning my team is of comparable standard to my opponents (10x 88, 1x 98) instead of being underpowered like normal. Don't really get it, my win ratio is worse than when I play against teams with higher average rating than me including meta players, maybe I need to try a different formation or something (Max Chemistry mode means I can use pretty much any formation). I play 4-1-2-1-2 and my CMs (Jorginho and Ravella) just seem to go missing, maybe it's my style of play or need better instructions but everything seems to get channelled through LB/RB/CAM/ST, midfielders are largely anonymous. Perhaps I should go full Mike Bassett mode: 4-4-****ing 2 and make use of the LM/RM players in my squad that never normally get a look in.

My mate has the joys of playing against 2 Euesbios in a team yesterday; there is a glitch that enables you to have the FUT Birthday Eusebio and regular in the same starting 11. It's laughable just how much gets through EA's QA. It is actually unbelievable.

Might give it a go, Alonso and Gattuso at CDM, Rooney Muller and Grealish at CAM.
There's an element of "git gud" but the point is even my mediocre div5 standard is good enough to win a few games normally. Lost a few games in extra time which is annoying, yesterday I went 0-3 down in the first half and he pulls out the Griddy, then I came back in the second half to take a 5-4 lead, dodgy equaliser and then lost in extra time.
They need to sort out the squad requirements though, it's kinda lame saying max 1 89+ in starting XI but then the cretins are requesting pause before it's even kicked off and you know full well it's Mbappe Jairzinho etc coming off the bench at first stoppage. Should be max 1 89+ in SQUAD not starting XI.
See that's the thing, normally on friendlies it's not this bad, I'm not a good player but normally I can win at least say 30% of my games (e.g. Homegrown 11 I will get 3+ wins out of 12 and the target 7 enough times that it's not depressing). This Birthday Cup, which in theory should be easier because the teams are more balanced I'm literally a whipping boy, a couple of times I've lost all 5 of my matches that day. I think I may struggle to even hit the 10 wins.

there's so much scripting going on recently. If you take a 3-0 lead early on and the guy doesn't quit then 80% of the time you're in for a world of hurt as your players suddenly act like their stamina's down to 10% and you can no longer do anything.

Half the time you dominate and miss chance after chance, I;m not talking half chances I'm talking bang in front of goal 1000% cert chances with players rated 99 shooting. Then they'll go down and score with the first attempt after 10 rebounds on the way through your defence.

I think they is a new cheat about so full team of bronze players this guy just had... full of defenders no chemistry and literally no pace... Yes he is on pc.... And his players have like 99 pace and doing 5 star skill moves???? Not possible that...

There are occasions where you just know you aren't going to win - absolute nailed on 3-yard out chances and their keeper suddenly becomes superman!
I'm gonna hold off as there’s plenty of time to complete him.
