Carroll and Defoe, that is some transfer coup for the mighty Gers, I went with my scouts and bought 5 star youngstars and now only have Seb Faure in the team.

Maybe I can actually try to get into this game now. The skins SI release are really bad. I think its pretty lame how they release games with horrendous skins, no backgrounds etc these days. Would much prefer them to some usless feature that I turn off or let my assistant do after the 1st time.

There will not be a day one patch, the day one game will be as it should be.

I really like the default skin this year actually, nice and simple.

Thank god! Had enough of the ai hitting crosses to the back post to find my entire back line not man marking the one guy in the box there for an easy goal...

- Fixed a few bugs causing keepers not to attempt saves when they should do
- Fixed keepers making risky quick throws or passes to team mates

What do people think so far? downloading the demo now

Only played Classic which is nice and nippy and has just enough level of detail, but the match engine still has plenty of WTF moments. Keeper animations or coding is just plain weird (What's new). Lots of own goals with balls coming off defenders when they have their backs to the ball in the box. Defenders leaving balls in the air giving opposing strikers a free run on goal are just some I have noticed so far.

In my opinion the match engine has been a mess since it's introduction and each year SI fail to make it act like a true representation of the game. It's clear it's either beyond them or too complex a task for the code of today to replicate.

Still you can skip straight to the result in Classic which is what I've started to do.

And finally paid unlocks for features in Classic is a cheap move even if you don't plan to use that service.
 
I'm still peeved with the match engine, far too many unbelievable keeper pretty much throws it into his own net moments and quite a few "the ref wants the ai to win" games with dubious penalties against me and a fair few off side goals.

Hopefully it'll become a little more sane next week in release.
 
I just come on here to ask if u guys had problems with defenders and keepers being idiots and not like professional footballers... long shot, hits post rolls out keeper just stands and watches and the player is able to get the rebound running from outside the area for what appears to be an open net from a keep distracted by a ladybird.
