I started a game recently with Arsenal and Memphis Depay for 15M is bargain of the century! I am only at the end of November and he has scored 13 goals in 17 games with an average rating of 7.81.
 
I think I have the best striker I've ever had in any save. He's a German regen now aged 26. He cost me a pretty penny but he scored 75 goals last season!! Half way through this season and he has 35. He is an assassin.

No you can't advance a year. The best you can do is use a database update which includes the promotions and relegations of teams. Some updates will change some contract details too and there are some which include updates to ability and stats.
 
Thinking of getting another save going. Any ideas if its possible to update the current 2015 games database to be up to date with September 2016 and how to go about it if you can?

Also does anyone know when the new game maybe out?

Lastly does anyone play this in classic mode I think its called, you know the one where you don't have to get to involved etc, with things like scouting and training regimens etc? Seems like it takes a long time to learn and is very time consuming.
