slowly progressing, i cant believe i been playing this non stop since 2... Damn my eyes hurt.

Time for some Civ5 i think :D
 
anyone else have underpar performance? I have an i5 750 at 3.7 and a 5850 stock and it's getting 40-50fps max settings 2x msaa 1680 x 1050. I've tried catalyst 10.4 and 10.9.

What catalyst version are ATI owners using?
 
depends on the track :D

I'm getting what feels like a constant 60 with a 5850, X4 965 both at stock. Running 1920x1080 with 8xAA everything on high. not bothered changing anything as it looks fine and runs fine as it is

I'm having similar issues.

I will never understand why such high profile games don't test the wheel settings for popular wheels.

The G25 preset is an utter joke.

Anyone give us a clue what settings they're using in-game and in the Logitech software?

Runs at around 35-40 fps on my 5770 and [email protected]. I have all on high and ultra. There only 3 that can be set to ultra (as far as i am aware) these are all on
 
Im on ultra 108op and i get around 45-55 with an i5 and a GTX 460

How do you make a good start with no traction control? I always get passed at the start

Logitech DFGT or Thrustmaster F430? Both have their plus and minus points

I know the G27's are the best but i can't justify £200+. Needs to be under £100.

If anyone has one, how bad are the pedals and the paddle shifts/buttons on the DFGT?

Just giving these a go at the moment. Seems a little better:

set all linearity to 50 which is 1 to 1 steering ,no dead zones and 100
saturation to 100 to use full amount of travel of what you set degrees of rotation to.
Set environmental to 10(this is the cause of your issue along with degrees of rotation)
Overall force to 40-50 , you can change to suit yourself afterwards
weight to suit your self ,i use 30-40

But heres the killer ,set steering rotation to 270 in logitech profiler as they tuned the ffb to match the xbox wheel.

Post back if it feels any better

other profiler settings that you need to set
overall effects 100%
spring effect 0%
damper effect 0%
tick enable center spring
set center spring at 0%
untick report combined pedals
tick allow game to change settings.

Note ,you have to do the settings above in Global Device Settings as ego engine doesn't seem to recognize custom profiles within the profiler and uses the global settings.

I get about 45fps when there are loads of cars about, but in like a time trial, I get about 55-60fps. I run it at 1680x1050 with the "Ultra" pre-set and 4xAA. That's with the spec in my sig (all at stock) and Catalyst 10.4.

As for the game (now that I've spent just over 2 hours on it): it's bloody awesome. I'm only playing with a 360 controller, but even "Legend" AI is too easy, relatively speaking, of course. I mean, sure, I only managed 14th in my Virgin (qualifying - I haven't done the race yet), but I was 3.4 seconds faster than my team mate. I also went on time trial after qualifying to see what I could do in a Red Bull... I got a 1:54:something, which was about 2 seconds faster than what the "Legend" AI Webber got.

Anyway, off to do 50% race distance around Bahrain!

Yet the G25 default settings in Dirt 2 were perfect.
