***Official Formula One 2011 Thread***

Great racing guys tonight, especially playing with the cockpit view was fun. I don't think i want to go back to T-cam view now.

Hopefully if my connection isn't a pain, I'll try and get on this evening. Thats also if the room isn't full of bumper car drivers.

Yeah, completely agree cockpit is the best way to play this game. I thought I would be over a second slower, but after a few laps I was defiantly as fast if not even faster around most of the circuits we went on.

I actually think its easier to hook up a good lap in cockpit view for some reason.

That was horrid. The last I'll be racing when joe numpty joins.

I have no idea who they were but the first corner someone spun me then when I was sideways someone just kept t-boning me up the hill and round the long left hander until my car cleared from them. If I didn't know better I'm not sure if it was F1 or Grid.

When I went to spectating, it was shocking watching the Mercedes and Williams drivers cut the first corner every lap on Monaco.

Yeah that looked rather stupid, I think only myself and Andy (1st and 2nd on grid) got away without having to pit on the first lap. We went on to have a good race too.

The more people that join the less need for having more random people join though. Although having 4 good people is better than 12 with rammers.

I can't remember the guys name but he was Spanish. He was in the Williams i believe, it was impossible for me to overtake.. as he would simply ram me off the road, resulting in me having no front wing for 80% of the race.

After i had my front wing knocked off 3 times i just gave up.

I know the feeling mate, some body used my car to stop their car on the first corner as well. As Mike said above that we are not getting enough people so thats why we leave lobbies open, if we can get more people in on the weekends then we can keep the lobbies private.

Found a problem with my wheel settings as well in that race where my wheel was going light mid corner, i was hitting the walls every single corner in that race.

Patch 2 update!

Hi all,

For those of you who have read the Patch Process thread , Step 1 & 2 have now been completed; many thanks to all of you who provided as much information as possible on the issues you have encountered. The patch has now been submitted to MS and Sony (Step 3) for their testing and approval prior to prepping it for release. Once the patch has passed submission we'll update the below fix list with the finalised patch notes.

hopefully MS and Sony don't take too long.....

So on track brake bias isn't happening according to Helios, even though they said it would. Plus no mention of corrupt save fixes.

50% off this weekend on Steam so is £14.99.

Worth it?

I feel a little butt hurt over 2010 to be honest, is this worth the cash? Are Codies providing a better aftersales service this time round?

Not followed the game at all since launch in protest as I found it difficult to trust Codies and their current dev team.

just got this for £15, got to be worth it at that price

Game is definitely worth £15 as Murray said above, few of us will be racing online tonight and tomorrow. Drop us your GWFL id's and we will send you game invites aournd about 8 PM and don't forget to you join f1 2011 channel on mumble.

Thinking if the £15 would be better spent on rFactor 2?

Yes.

We have licensed content from the modern era of motorsport for multiple types of racing, but also have licensing deals for real content from the first four decades of Formula One (some in the initial release, some to come later). We’ve done this because this is what we love and this is what we want to bring to the racing game/sim community. We want you to be challenged by our software, to be challenged rain or shine, day or night, old or new, and what better track to challenge you than the one we announced today via our friends at Inside Sim Racing?
