***Official Formula One 2012 Thread***

The first one that I knew had pitted was on lap 3, by which point I'd got over a minute advantage and had lapped the six new cars already. I didn't bother finishing the race. :p

Something must have gone quite badly wrong somewhere, because even my race strategy was set to use dry tyres to begin with. Only had the issue once though, fortunately.

Just had that myself, albeit I started I started on inters and they pitted the end of the first lap. About 10 laps later they started catching up as I was still on inters as the track dried and was about 10 seconds off the pace for a couple laps.

I had fun on the start!

Errr, okay...

Just started the career and qualified in P18 for Melbourne (:o). Went to start the race and I'm in P24. Has this happened to anyone else?

What difficulty? Professional seems to be the way to go for the starting car.

Really struggling in Malaysia - so much understeer. I am having to drop down at least one gear less than the AI when taking exactly the same line. Codies are saying they are going to fix this understeer though, it does seem a little extreme at the moment (certainly compared to the AI).

The hardest setting (Legendary?). I'm just feeling a bit annoyed that after qualifying ahead of the new teams, I lost my position for what appears to be no reason. :/

Legendary is much more difficult than it used to be. A lot of people are finding that professional puts you where you should be in the newer teams. I will up to legendary when I get a better team I think (if I can ever get a decent lap around Malaysia).

So what's the verdict on this then ? I know I said I wasn't buying it this year but I'm starting to get the itch. I've given the demo a go and it was total crap. The car feels like it's floating, brakes don't bite, acceleration is sluggish etc etc. Is it the same in the final release ?

Hmm. Well, I started out a race on professional a while ago and found myself racing for the podium in Australia in the Force India. That didn't seem quite right, because Australia is not a strong track for me, normally. I may have to compare the difficulty on a few tracks to see which to go with.

This problem is caused by too much FPS , limit your frame rate to 80 via msi after burner or by turning v-sync on.

that sounds like a problem that needs to be sorted out, so if you have a decent graphics card and a 120hz moniter, you have to throttle it down a bit (pardon the pun) to work properly

That's the thing - on professional I won the race. On legendary I was at the back. Yet in Malaysia, on professional I am struggling to even get out of Q1. This game is really starting to frustrate me.

This happended to me, I clicked download save from Cloud. Thats what your not supposed to do

Oh....yeh that is what i did when it gave me the option. I have now disabled cloud and started a new profile.

Do you know if that will be ok?

Does anyone know how to remove profiles from this game? My first one got corrupt and now the second one has become corrupt. I have deleted the savegame folder from my documents, reinstalled the game and disabled steam cloud, but they are still there :(

I can't believe they can ruin a game by making something as simple and ESSENTIAL as saving the game not work!!?
