**Official GeForce 6100/6150 Resource & Help Thread**

that it that is for pentiums, don't know a great deal about them

no real budget but obviously nothing to crazy something like

motherboard : £50-£60
chip : £80-£100
hdd : 300gb about £70

think that's all i really need, got the rest here.

Damn that MSI looks sexeh. I'd absolutely love to get an mATX Conroe system, but I bought a 19" WS recently, and I'm still paying for it!:(

hmmm, Im after a mATX board for a mini-tower I have in progress, however the placement of these heatsinks is worrying me...

Ive an x800xl with the Arctic Cooling silencer on, and I'm afraid that it might not fit into the x16 slot with those heatsinks placed where they are....

Hi there,

Taking interest in the 6100/6150 boards recently. Other than the Tforce 754 and 939, are there any other 6100/6150 boards which have a reasonable number of overclocking options? Would like one good for 300HTT, with reasonable voltage settings (Up to 1.5V or maybe 1.55V if possible?)

How does the Asus K8N-VM nForce 410/6100 fare? I can't seem to find any reviews for this board and it appears to be available at a very nice price.

I realise the Tforce series are great for overclocking but how are the non Tforce Biostar's? For example the Biostar Tforce 6100-M7 and M9?

Thanks,

Mul

The TForce is the best 6150 overclocking board. The M7 and M9 are the crippled versions of the TForce really, still good but not like the TForce - about on par with the Foxconn 6150 board for overclocking but lacking the extra features of the 6150+430 chips.

If you're not dead set on an nVidia board, then the DFI Infinity RS482 is even better than the Biostar, but pricey and hard to find:).

Thanks. Yeh, the DFI Infinity was my primary option but it appears to be around £70 :o

I found the nForce 410/430's lower priced, so I considered them. I don't particularly need the TV Out, DVI, HDTV out etc, as it would be more of a folding@home box than a media rig.

Guess, I'll grab the TForce then,

Thanks,

Mul

Hey,

Just wondering, do any of you guys use these boards with the MS Media Centre remote? Are there any issues powering on the unit from S3 Suspend using the remote? Which board will allow me to do this (if any?).

Cheers,

Suman
