***Official Gigabyte Z77X-UP4 TH, Z77X-UP5 TH and Z77X-UP7 discussion thread***

whats the idle voltage now? i found it tricky also but once you get it right it works very well

it was much simpler on x58 boards, there wasnt so many llc levels

Lol, I spoke too soon. Upped to 0.060V now, I will keep upping it till adobe air stops crashing on league of legends. Idle varies from 0.97V to 1.03V I think maybe 0.97V is too little for my cpu. Upping the VTT wouldn't help would it? I've left that at the stock 1.050V

yeah it could be vtt and not dvid,id run atleast 1.08v vtt keep dvid at 0.050 for now

if it freezes or randomly restarts its most likely vtt

1.08V and 0.050 is working just fine actually. Good call. :D

Not working HAHA! Oh god, this is too much for me to be bothered with today, set 1.27v constant voltage now will have to work out how to get it stable with the offset tho. :p

2nd BIOS is a backup BIOS, you flash that with a stable BIOS or leave it with the stock one?

My ram doesn't like CL8 with low volts, but CL9 is fine with tight timings otherwise. Pleased I can run it low volt now. :D Overclocking seems more stable to me also, though I'm having trouble getting my 4.5GHz clock back.

you can flash the backup with the main bios by pressing alt and f10 at splash screen, you have to keep pressing it until it prompts you on screen

then both chips will have the same bios version, its best they run the same version as it helps with stability

its alt and f10 but if you dont time it right it wont work, you dont press and hold you press it together keep doing it fast

ill ask to make sure

"Boards with bios switch can just flip the switch once they boot into q-flash.

ALT +F10

Hold the alt key down before the post and spam the f10 key the system should hang or appear to be hung. Release the alt key and f10 for a split second and then resume holding the alt key and press f10. You should now hear the system post spam that f10 key a couple more times then release the alt key and f10 for another second and them resume hitting them again. This should ensure that you get the screen. "

I want to try one of these boards I really do lol. :o

Gigabyte Z77X-UP4 TH or Z77X-UP5 TH, that's the question.

Annoying thing is with the Z77X-UD5H, they gave you all the bells and whistles, to have all the features I'd need to blow money on the Z77X-UP5 TH, arghhh.
