So what's the consensus between this and the Asus Maximus VI HERO?
Does it just come down to preferred brand/warranty.
It dumps on the Hero, its got nearly three times the submissions at HWbot.

i want to overclock my cpu (4770k) using this awesome board but im a bit terrified to try,not wanting to go to a huge overclock though just a wee smidge to see what happens and to get comfy with the actual process,ive read the beginners guide but it is quite daunting.
i was hoping for an easy way out but i guess its a case of research the posts on page 1 and pay attention,anyone got any tips for a first timer to overclocking?
Just out of curiousity, has anyone experienced the compatibility issues between this motherboard and corsair PSU's that affected some of these boards?
Guys, is their a recommended memory to go with this board? Was thinking of this;

New core components are gonna be;
Giga Z87-OC
4770k
Maybe the above mem
2 x Twin Frozr 7950s
OcUK 120mm Fathams WC (maybe with upgraded rad)
As Skylake isn't gonna be out for another 2 years I thought screw it and build a new sysMy [email protected] is wonderful, but I have an itch

So pretty happy overall that I've got a decent enough chip. Aida stable (cpu, fpu, cache and memory with 1gb threads) for a couple of hours (couldn't be bothered any longer) at the following bios settings after hours of tinkering with various voltages.
1.95V Vrin
1.254V Vcore (1.26 under load)
1.26V ring voltage
1.51V memory (Xmp profile 1600mhz)
Core multi: 46
Uncore multi: 43
Temps were good on aida, max exhibited were 84,81,81,77 across all cores but that was literally a .5 second spike. 99% of the time temps fluctuated from high 60's to 75-77 degrees on my noctua d14.
Now on to bf3/4 for some real world stress tests.
X or F series BIOS?
