Yeah that's right - I didn't read the manual to start with and built the loop using PCIE 1 and 2 - And that didn't work

So they now on 1 and 3 which works lovely

You can use the very bottom orange slot which is run from the chipset so does not affect slots 1+ 3

Note* there is one slight bug with the bios and it happened with X04 aswell and F7a official, you have to set the BCLK off auto and set it to 101mhz so that it will give you correct clocks in windows

for instance if you dont 4.5ghz will report as 4.498ghz with bclk @99 ect
instead of 5.000ghz @100bclk

I get this on F03 too, bclk is always @ 99.00, X02 its fine and sits happy at 100.00

X02 is about the only bios that does not have the bug, but X05 is the best bios yet.
even in some things surpasses X02. but if you want the latest X05 it is.

there is the link to the XO5 modded bios
and the new things i listed above, incl new updated CPU Ucode aswell as updated modules within the bios..... X05 was created by the LN2 overclocking group from australia, and was modifed by themself for high memory OCing and also voltage restrictions where bumped and new memory settings and stuff, it was modified by them from official 7a bios. then the bios your downloading was then modified again with updated code and modules.

its just a better version you know it makes sence, just remember to flash all bios`s from within dos or Qflash.

So about to place an order for this board. Will be using a mild overclock only.

Anything I should know before I do? any known issues?

I will be using it with 2 x 7950's so will be utilising Crossfire. Currently only got 2 sticks of RAM though I would potentially get 2 more later on.

Would be running on an i7 4770k Haswell chip as well.

I would like to get the Be Quiet Dark Rock 2 cooler (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-004-BQ&groupid=701&catid=2330) - how is the clearance on this if I use slots 1 & 3 for Crossfire?

i just pulled the trigger on one of these for £80 in the b-grade section cant wait!!!!

plan is to have 16gn ram and a 4770k with a h100 not sure what case but cant wait currently have a i7 920 which wont clock above 3 ghz so this should be a massive difference....

I posted about it above but anyone know if the Dark Rock 2 cooler will fit OK? I want to place my order this afternoon if I can.

Someone posted a pic of the K2 cooler a page or two back and it had a few mm clearance.

Dimensions of Dark Rock cooler:

Depth : 97
Height : 166
Width : 138

Dimensions of K2:

Depth : 80
Height : 164
Width : 143

So it looks like the Dark Rock is a few mm less wide, so one hopes it would fit...

I've got a Noctua D14 which is an absolute beast and that fits fine (small gap) so I can't imagine the Dark Rock would have an issue.
